Does anyone ever see this event being held entirely outside the US?
(I know the US has more money and more immigrants that go to matches making it easy for traveling fans.)
Outside of Mexico, probably no one country could host the event in its entirety, but a couple Central American countries or a couple Caribbean countries could get together and do it.

Canada may try to get it for the summer in 2009 depending how our 2007 World Youth Cup (U-20) goes, and what our Stadium situation as a result of that is. Given most attendences in the US and the fact that it will be in the middle of WCQ, we probably don't need more than 3 bigger (25,000 plus, in Toronto, Ottawa and Edmonton, maybe Calgary) stadia, as the 10-15 thousand seats for the 3 or 4 extra would probably suffice.

I love to see a gold Cup here in CR, or like in CR/PAN or GUA/HON or JAM/T&T, one in CAN will also be cool.
I see that this can happen when Concacaf becomes an objective soccer confederation.

It looks like you would want one everywhere except Mexico.

Ever? Yeah, sure.
It's bound to happen eventually. I mean, look at the pre-GC tournies, they were held elsewhere.

Some Central teams could host.
Even T&T can host, they hosted the under 17 world cup.
Total spectators 331,198
32 matches, Avg Attd: 10,350 in 4 venues that seat a 10,000
and one that seats 26,000.

Edmonton and Calgary? What to show off all the empty seats (edmonton)
has for our national teams games.Toronto and Ottawa for sure, then
maybe Montreal if they get the right surface, and Winnipeg.

Copa de Naciones showed some reasonable crowds (11,000 for the semi featuring Guatemala). Though some of the games looked pretty sparse on tv.
You might get a crowd in a Central American city comparable to a match in the US if one of the teams is 'home'. But would that same crowd generate the same money for Concacaf?
So, entirely outside the US ... not for a while.
