Charlton gets another favorable home draw. This time against Leicester City.
I will be looking forward to listening to this match. I am sort of a Hearts fan and now the Foxes have the old Hearts manager Crain Levein and two former players in Alan Maybury and Mark de Vries.
Seems Levein is doing a good job so far with the Foxes and says he is excited to meet Charlton next in the Cup.

With our past in the Cup, who wouldn't be excited to meet us. But I have a strong feeling about this one. Curbs will have us primed and ready. No let downs this time round.

This one is better than some of the other draws.
Newcastle United v Chelsea
Everton v Manchester United
Are the two that really jump out at me.
Lets keep the FA Cup streak alive.

Would love to see Everton take down the Red Devils. It is possible.
Doubt Newcastle will cause any problems at all for Chelsea. Too bad too.
Wish I could actually see this one. But listening is better than nothing at all.

I just hope we can keep winning......and keep avoiding Chelsea until the final.
At least losing to Chelsea in the final would give us a nice consolation prize of a UEFA Cup spot (although an FA Cup would be sweeter).

in the final 16 with a home game against a championship side..
2 wins away from the semi-finals in cardiff, I didn't realize they were that close.
if they win vs leicester, the draw for the next round could be one of the biggest days in addicks history

Do we have too much time to rest up and get ready?
I wonder which first teamers might get some playing time in reserves fixtures on 9 and 14 February?
I would think Jerome Thomas and Jonathan Forutne, if fit, should get some time in tomorrow's match against West Ham reserves.
Meanwhile, Leicester City's first team has only the one match this Saturday before coming to the Valley. The Foxes play at Ipswich Town, who are in first in the Championship and 22 points ahead of Leicester. Good tune up before coming to the Valley.
This should be a good match.

Hey, Kev, would you want us to draw Nottingham Forest in the next round? Could Forest get by either WBA or Spurs?
Chelsea could struggle against Newcastle with Robben down for six weeks. But I expect even that struggle will end up with a Chelsea victory over the Magpies. I just hope if we win against the Foxes that we don't draw -- here's the long list -- Bolton, Man Utd., Blackburn, Southampton or Arsenal. Not likely that we can escape any of these pains.
I think if we win, it would be best to get another home draw and against Burnley or even Derby -- if nothing more than to bring up all the history. We met Derby in the 46 final and lost, then beat Burnley in the final the next year.

Forest at The Valley wouldn't be much of a problem. The loss of Dawson and Reid to Spurs pretty much takes the punch out of their attack.
I think Forest would have a chance against the Albion. The Baggies aren't looking good at all. It also would be a revenge match for Gary Megson who I still don't know why they fired.
Spurs can be strange. It depends which team shows up. They couldn't use Reid or Dawson as they both are cup-tied so they couldn't hurt their former club. Spurs also have a habit of taking teams for granted.
All in all, with Forest away to the either of these two, I can't see them pulling off the upset. Maybe a replay at the City Ground, but that's it.
