Good point there GPK. I was thinking the same thing b/c i will defintely tape that game, but i can't not go on these boards for a whole day, while i'm at work. :)
So, we take on Savage and Rovers. I think a nice 2-0 game will be fair. I see Drogba and Duff scoring both in the 2nd half. Should be a comfortable win, but.........well, no buts.

Big game tomorrow night, why isn't anybody posting here.
(C'mon GPK, this new policy is a drag)

I agree Clan. Though it is 9pm. If anyone IS watching the game now, they shouldn't be surfing the web while "watching". It's as simple as, if you don't want to see a score, don't come to a soccer site! I wouldn't go on BS or Soccernet if I am trying to avoiding a score.
Anyway, about the game. I see a thrashing, utter simple thrashing. Three or four goals. Five wouldn't even surprise me. Ewood Park is never easy but Blackburn just doesn't have the fire power to compete with Chelsea. Savage is quality (although a tw*t), but there really isn't much class in the rest of the team (no matter what all the MLS lovers will tell you about Friedel). Their defense is atrocious and their midfield is really weak. Plus Ferguson has **********ed off back to Scotland. I really thought Bellamy would go there because of Savage and Mark Hughes, they could have used him, especially in a game like this. They really don't have a great attack, Stead is ok but the rest are just average. Bothroyd is a flatout ass too imo.

We NEED to win this one. Absolutely NEED to. Because that would send the message that for all the energy and emotion and grit and stupidity and sloppiness exerted in North London yesterday, it was all irrelevant. All of it. A win tomorrow puts us up 11 on second, and 13 on 3rd, with 13 games to go. 13! We have to send that psychological message that they're still running in mud; we're gliding by.
I wonder if that game up north won't have made Cole reconsider his options.
(Its 9 freaking 50. Its one of the biggest games of the year in England and this is a soccer board. If you can infer the result and didn't want to, you're an overly clever idiot.)

That's an excellent point, nice, and explains exactly why my nerves are a bit frazzled already.
(Isn't overly clever idiot an oxymoron? ;))

As much as i'd like to see that, a classic 'just business' 1-0, i think, seems more realistic.

Oi, you, can you save your Eagles avatar and/or team until after tomorrow? You're making me more nervous. :p

Love that sarccy smiley CFC! How about hot wings at my place on Sunday to watch the iggles go down?
I Do feel kinda bad for Eddie though, How can you not think of the Eagles as the retard sprint champion from the Special Olympics (aka the NFC - and I say this as a Giants fan) finally getting their day against the REAL 100m Olympic gold medalist?
He thinks he's gonna win, God bless him...

You're going to eat them f'n words my friend. Sunday around 12:30, I'll be partying down Broad Street! Maybe I'll wear my Chelsea jersey so you'll be able to pick me out on all the news reports...oh wait, F that. The Pats wear blue. Sunday will be bathed in GREEN my friend.
I'm telling, I have an f'n FEELING. I just know it. I seriously never get these feelings. My sports world is aligning perfectly. Yankees lose in dramatic fashion to the Sox, Chelsea runs away with the EPL, NHL is gone (I hate hockey, thank GOD!), Eagles win the Super Bowl!!! It's going to happen...and my exhilaration won't end until a month into baseball season when I've already been to 8 Phillies games, seen them lose 6 of them and their record is 15-15 and they are sitting in last place. Though, maybe God is looking down on Philly this year with joy (and more specifically me since I became an adorer in August and since then all these things have happend. Me and JC are likethis).

Give it up Eddie. The Eagles have Owens's giant ego as an anchor, and he'll sink them. He's the anti-Willis Reed.

are we discussing the Super Bowl or the Rovers game? Am i missing something? Let's worry about Blackburn before celebrating NE win
( i mean the Super Bowl).
Like Nice said, this is a huge mental game for us and we need to win, period.

I've had the Yankees win the World Series, the Devils win the Stanley Cup, The Giants go to the Super Bowl, Chelsea make me believe and the Nets go to the NBA finals within a year or so of each other....They've never won at the same time. It rarely aligns perfectly...
Though, maybe God is looking down on Philly this year with joy (and more specifically me since I became an adorer in August and since then all these things have happend. Me and JC are likethis).
If God was looking down on Philly, the Flyers, Sixers and Phillies would win something...maybe he's looking down on you, but...
Red Sox 1918, Eagles 1960, Chelsea 1955, NHL season cancelled 19-never, nobody has this much luck, You're not gonna get everything in one year...
(Just in case you do, have JC PM me some winning Lotto numbers before you're struck blind *God forbid* - Or ask Satan if I can get the same deal you did...)

ok, NFL Super Cup (bowl?) :p Talk over
Injuries:
When will they be back?
Huth out for 8 weeks.
Scott Parker (broken foot) is due back when?
and Ricardo Carvalho (broken toe) when is he back?
Must win the next two games and shake off the momentum that Man U are picking up
Be nice to see Jarosik play against that thug Savage
Someone posted a physio site around here a while ago, lemme see if I can dig it out.
MASSIVE game today. Just massive. The United mods are already parading out the "Chelsea are crap, they're just lucky" line, so it's time, boys.
Time to shut them up, win big, and steady on. :D

Sky Sports is predicting Blackburn 0-2 Chels. I loved the comment about JM's "steely gaze":

Has anyone seen the lineup for this one yet?
