Hi!
Which players mainly in Guatemala and Costa Rica would you describe as most exciting? I've heard about a player from Comunicaciones called Dwight Pezarossi, whom i've heard scored against Municipal in the national championship final, second leg. I've also heard about Fredy Thompson. Are they good players? Any better?
In Costa Rica i think Saprissa is the most exciting club. But also Herediano, Pérez Zeledón and Alajuelense. What is the players price level in those clubs and which players would you recommend?
Greetings Odemwingie!

Morado,
Hopefully I am not too off topic, but what are the salaries like in the Costa Rican league? Just curious how they compare to the MLS salary structure.
Thanks,
BWogs

Well Guatemala has the best paid league and the infastructure, I think we should be doing better since theres more money and a better infastructure.

I dont have the exact amounts, but it is a big cap between Rich and poor teams in costa Rica.
Lets put it this way, the premier league has 12 teams.
Saprissa, alajuela, and heredia are the most important and traditional teams, also the richest teams.
There is a team the bought a franchise of a poor team last season, it is Brujas FC, they are also kind of rich
Cartago is also a traditional team, but they are having some economical problems lately
So I see 3 different levels of teams:
Class A>> Saprissa, heredia and alajeula
Class b >>brujas, Cartago and santos
Class c>>, the other 6 teams PZ, liberia, puntarenas, san ramon, belen, carmelita, plus most of the second division teams.
In a "c" team a player can expect between $300-$1500 per month
In a "b" team a player can get between $1500-$5000 per month
In "a" teams, it is a bigger salary difference among player, i'll say no less than $3000, but there are players that are paid almost 10000 per month.
So as you can see, there is a huge difference in salaries....
I think Walter Centeno and Ronald Gomez are the best paid player in costa rica, both are paid by papi vergara....
Jose Luis lopez tranfer from Heredia to Saprissa is the most expensive sport transaction in costa Rica, it was a round $120000.
In general, in central america, the guatemalan and costarrican leagues are the best paid ones, comunicaciones ans Saprissa are the richest teams in Central America.

Look for a few of the guatemalans in your list to end up in MLS before to long. I still can not figure out why the MLS hasn't tried to get Pezzarossi yet.
