Two tottenham fans miss the last bus home, so decide to break into the bus garage and nick one.
Shane is running up and down the lines of buses. "What you doing?" asks Wayne.
"I'm looking for a No. 17" he replies "but can't find one"
"Well, nick a No. 8 and we'll jump off at the lights and walk the rest of the way."

The 2 fan thing sounds about right to me, but I want to know how they are going to count as high as 17 without taking their shoes and socks off, and they better darn well have slip ons. Otherwise they will need to ask around to get some assistance in getting those laces retied

I can tell you're not telling the truth.
It takes Spurs fans much longer than 23 years to learn how to read. :D

of course they can count upto 17, otherwise how would they know where they are in the league ;)

Yeah, but they still have trouble counting in multiples of three. :D

I am guessing they usually just find it easier to use one hand - count backwards from the bottom of the ladder, then try and subtract that number from 20.
Oh - I see - subtraction may be a bit too abstract a concept - is that what you are thinking??? ;)

That's why there are two of them. One has 1-10 covered and the other takes care of 11-20.
