Crespo and Aimar are about to make a come back in the NT. :)

No Ayala and no Samuel, I guess Pekerman will give some other guys a chance to prove themselves since it's a friendly.

Guys playing in South America will probably be called up later.

Abbondanzieri, Mascherano and Lucho Gonzalez will probably be added to that list.

I was also surprised by the the fact that Ayala wasn't called, but it's a friendly match so I understand Pekerman's decision. He probably doesn't want to force his return to the NT either. He's still working to reach his level. I'm also very glad to see Heinze back in the NT.

I'm quite anxious to see how Aimar will do. I believe his performances at Valencia are conditioned by Ranieri's peculiar tactics. I'm sure Pekerman will understand how Pablo wants to play, since he already coached him during U-20 '01. Besides, Riquelme is on fire, so they will be a particularly interesting tandem to watch.

I don't like Crespo that much, but this is a good chance to see if he has what it takes to be on the NT. Besides, a tall player like him could really hurt the German defense.

I wonder if Solari will get a place in the starting line-up. Tough to say...

Samuel has been playing like dirt since the move to Madrid. The team really needs to solve the defensive problem in the next 18 months.

Possible formation?

-----------------Pato----------------
Pupi----Colo------Burdisso-----Heinze
----?----------Cuchu-------Solari----
----------------Romy----------------
-----Saviola/Galleti----Crespo----------

That's mu guess...though I'm not sure who will play the RM Duscher?
Or maybe Colo will come out, Burdisso is moved over to RCB, Heinze takes LCB, and Sorin at LB?

I'd like to see this:

3 - 3 - 2 - 2

Franco

Coloccini, G. Rodríguez, Heinze

Zanetti, Cambiasso, Sorín

Riquelme, Aimar

Saviola, Crespo

And that's a tough choice, cause I'd be leaving out great offensive players like Solari or Maxi Rodríguez.

But I guess it's too "bielsista" , or too offensive for Pekerman's style. He'll probably use a more conservative formation. Oh well...

I'm actually a really big fan of Bielsa. Pekerman likes a back four with a quick ability to attack, though.

Riquelme and Aimar together would be really great to see again. But here is the actual formation...according to Diario Ole.

---------------Pato---------------
Pupi----**------Heinze----Placente
Scaloni-------Cuchu--------Sorin---
--------------Roman---------------
----------Crespo-----Saviola-------

**- could be one of Coloccini/Milito/Burdisso.
I'd go for Milito or Burdisso. I think Coloccini hasn't had enough continuancy at his club. I think it will be Milito.
