Make sure you have funds available!!!

My bank confirmed the charge about 5 minutes after the order was placed :D

Just TST-3's up right now

I really wanted the TST-3, but they said it was not available. Now they are.

Ugh.

In theory, I can back out because I chose the bank transfer option to pay. But I then take the chance of not being able to get them in December.

Damn, damn, damn. Decisions.

Didn't it say you have to have a German bank? Anyway, don't feel bad, I can't get the TST-3s now matter how many times I try. Maybe if I'm there I can take your tickets off you. :)

A) There was an option for transfers outside the US--several people in the other thread like me took it.

B) Because the seats are not transferrable, I can't re-sell them. If they were transferrable, I wouldn't be going through this brain meltdown right now on how to convince my wife this is worth it.

You can pay via the equivalent of an e-check if you have a German bank account, but if you have an international bank, you can still do a bank transfer; that's the route I took.

I wouldn't be worried about this - they said the same thing about Korea but it's just to help curtail scalping. They never intended to check names on tickets in Korea and as far as I know never did.

I sold more than 2 tickets and gave away more.

I got an order confirmation number, does that help any?

and would this be part of the Sam's Army section? Are we all together? and what level are the tickets at, since mine was for 174.00 Euros, so I'm in the nosebleeds I guess?

Cat 3?

Yeah, you're behind the goal with me and others on the upper level. :D

Cat 4 is lower level behind the goals.

And yeah, if you got a confirmation number, you have tickets (payment and background check pending).

Define "others"? Sam's Army?

and uh, I really feel bad for you if you're within earshot of me. :D :D

Before the first round of ticket sales, it was widely discussed here that people should ask for CAT-3 tickets to put supporters in the same section. I don't know what happens once USSF sells their allotment. So who knows? We are in CAT-3 with you TAF, so you'll see at least one friendly face. :)

is it me or are tickets a whole lot more expensive this time? I guess average incomes in Korea were a lot lower, but I got Cat I for like $75 per game, IIRC. Maybe I should just by a big flat screen on the money I would spend going to Germany.

What's the exchange rate for Euros-US dollars?

Cat I are the best tickets : $75/game is cheap for a WC Final

edit : 1 euro= 1.23 dollars. i.e my tickets (cat 3) came out to around $60.00/ticket. Considering I think I paid about $45 for Cat II 12 years ago, I'm thinking maybe Korea was cheap as opposed to Germany being expensive.

(and I've been socking away for a year or two.)

edit: now i'm just repeating what you already figured out.

I think today's exchange rate is 1 Eur = about 1.2245 US dollars.

The Fifa charge of 323.00 EUR for the pair of Cat-3 TST-3 tickets I ordered today came in at $395.53 on my credit card bill.

Dashboard widget says 1.221 is the current rate.

And now all TST's for the US are in red. No more available. Dammit!

I have TST3's in the cheap seats as well, so hopefully I'll see some familiair faces.

Just FYI, but for those who've already received confirmation of ticket orders: if you have to change your passport number, you have to make the change in writing via snail mail to the FIFA World Cup Ticketing Center (FWCTC), sending them a photocopy of your passport and the correct number. There's a fee of 10 Euros to do this, and I've put in a request to check and see how they prefer payment.

Thanks for the info...I had emailed FWCTC about this during the first ticketing phase (because I didn't have a passport yet) and they said I could just fill in my SSN and then change it later. But I didn't know how to change it. So I guess this is the way.

You can see why I was a little nervous about getting tickets through US Soccer.....I know they do their best and all but things don't seem to move all that swiftly over at the USSF :D

With all the delays in getting confirmation of US/Mex tickets in Columbus...I got confirmation from both FIFA and my bank within minutes of placing the order!!! Sepp Blatter et.al are not the brightest bulbs but they certainly got the job done here :D
