They lost my initial fax, and when I wrote asking where was my confirmation, they asked me to resend both the fax plus the confirmation from my fax machine...
Upon receipt (and another email 2 days later asking what the status was) I received a copy of my confirming email with my confirmation # (dated to the time/day when my fax was received).
So all is well here...lets wait and see...
Frank
Exactly what happened to me Frank (although I am still waiting to for my confirmation, they did give me their word... and so far, I have no reason to doubt it).
This is why I think that US Soccer is simply waiting for the "smoke to clear" first before the assignment of tickets begins. By "smoke clears" I mean, waiting until all possible orders are fulfilled, or mistakes by some in either incorrect/missing information on the application are corrected, or all other possible problems (such as mine and Frank's are cleared up). I failed to mentioned the "double-fax" scenario... this could also categorize as waiting until the "smoke clears". Once all this is said and done....AND once they are all back from Holiday (which we can only assume they are likely going to take)... then I think they simply will start assigning tickets according to times registered - therefore honoring the "first come, first served" guideline for assigning tickets that they will adhere to.
I did speak with someone other than "our" Amy who gave me all the direction involving my errant fax - to which I might add, all has been worked out as this person had promised it would - and the comment I received when I asked him how chaotic it was after Monday Dec-12 was...
"It got much worse. We did have a lot to sort out. Many applications were taken; however, I cannot say that ALL those that applied for tickets will receive them".
The impression to me was that many WILL receive their tickets, but likely only a select few will not. I don't know... perhaps this is the optimist in me. On my other shoulder, the pessimistic side is saying that a select few will be receiving tickets and a majority will not.
I guess we will all find out on Jan-4, but until then, I wouldn't hold my breath that it will happen any sooner.

I'm gonna go with my optimist side , and hope that means that only some won't get tickets. I really hope that the overnight fedexs get allocated tickets also, because my fax couldnt get through..
