Had a look quick look through this thread and couldn't find the info I needed, but apologies in advance if this has been covered already.

I want to try and get tickets during the next sales period from FIFA - according to their website (www.fifaworldcup.com) in December when 300,000 more tickets will be released. How do I put in an application for these tickets. When I click on the ticket shop link of FIFA's website it still has the info for the May 2005 sales period, and clicking on 'Order Tickets Now' takes me to an outdated page where applications for certain TST's are available.

Is the application for the next sales period not up yet - or am I just not seeing it? Any help is appreciated.

just poke around farther on the fifaworldcup site, you'll find your answers. ok, here are the answers:

from: http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/tickets/overview.html

"3. How much do the tickets cost and how many sales periods are there?
Single tickets are on offer in four price categories. The cheapest tickets for group stage matches cost €35. The most expensive seats at the group stage cost €100. The cheapest ticket for the Final costs €120 and the most expensive €600.

To ensure a fair and open process even if demand exceeds supply, and to guarantee as many interested parties as possible receive tickets, ticket sales will take place in five periods. Applications cannot be accepted in between sales periods.

Further sales periods: 12 December 2005 to 15 January 2006
15 February 2006 to 15 April 2006
01 May 2006 to 09 July 2006."

and from: http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/tickets/faq.html

"23. What are the different Sales Phases?

In order to ensure a fair and transparent allocation of tickets, even with ticket demand exceeding ticket supply, and in order to provide as many interested persons as possible with tickets, the procedure for ticket allocation for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany (TM) has been divided into five phases. Between the individual phases no applications can be submitted.

The first sales phase began on 1 February 2005 and ended on 31 March 2005

The second sales phase will start on 2nd of May 2005 and will end on 15th of November 2005. Ticket applications submitted during this stage will be processed in the order of receipt (according to the principle of “First come, first served”. Ticket allocation in the second phase will end with all tickets set aside for this phase being allocated, or by 15th of November 2005 latest.

The third sales phase will begin 12th of December 2005 and will end 15th of January 2006. The procedure corresponds to that of phase one: All properly submitted registrations received during this stage will be considered for allocation. If the number of submitted applications for tickets exceeds the number of tickets set aside for this stage, tickets will be allocated by draw on 22nd of January 2006.
Important: It makes no difference whether you register early, on 12th of December 2005, or late, on 15th of January 2006. Every properly submitted application will stand the same chance to win at the draw.

The fourth sales phase will start on 15th of February 2006 and will end on 15th of April 2006. Ticket applications submitted during this stage will be processed in the order of receipt (according to the principle “First come, first served“). Ticket allocation in the fourth phase will end with all tickets set aside for this phase being allocated, or by 15th of April 2006 latest.

The fifth sales phase (last minute phase) will start on 1st of May 2006 and will end by 9th of July 2006. Ticket applications submitted during this fifth phase will be processed in the order of receipt (according to the principle of “First come, first served“). Ticket allocation will end when all tickets set aside for the fifth sales phase have been allocated, or by 9th of July latest. During this phase tickets will be allocated via the internet as well as via selected advance booking centers at the venues. At these centers you can pay cash or by credit card."

also, keep in mind that ussoccer will receive an allocation of tickets from Fifa which will be distributed by ussoccer. See part 12. of the overview section. it is recommended that one signs up at ussoccerfan.com to get news of this ussoccer process.

Really starting to dislike FIFA.

Dear Mr. Ohanessian,

Unfortunately when you changed your payment it was already too late for such a change. Please we advice you to follow the instructions for payment by bank transfer in order to avoid any problem with your payment.

Yours sincerely

Your 2006 FIFA World Cup (TM) Ticketing Center

After I asked when they'd charge my card after I changed the method of payment.

So, when exactly is the USSF going to put World Cup tickets on sale? And did I understand that no USA TST's will be put on sale in the December ticketing phase? Anybody know? Feel free to call me a moron. I don't care as long as I'm in Germany

I don't know the answer to your first question but I imagine it will be after qualification is over and the draw is done. Just a guess.

As for the second part, I think all American TST tickets are sold out.

You think all USA TST's are sold out?

So assuming they are, and we then buy the USA allotment from our FA, we'd then have the maximum amount of supporters possible compared with other teams, right?

Disregarding the individual match tickets, which I really don't understand. I mean, why are people buying match tickets now if they don't know who's playing in those games?

As I'm sure you know, FIFA offered Venue Specific Ticket packages in 2002. They are not doing so this time around. I'm sure many Germans, as well as many foreigners, will want to purchase tix for a specific city b/c they will not want to be travelling much. Plus, we should expect every match to be a sell-out or near sell-out. I cannot fathom that more than 50% of the fans at the average game will actually be real fans of those teams.

Whoa whoa whoa - I thought city-specific was the phase in December. If its not, then what are they selling then?

FYI -- here's a copy of an email FIFA sent me regarding WC 2006 tix, I sent this on Thurs. Oct. 6, 2005 and received the reply the next day on Oct. 7, 2005.

Subject:
en: How can I apply for tickets?

Content:
I am trying to get TST3 or TST4 series for the USA. Will these be available after
the December 2005 draw? Or will I have to try to buy individual game tickets at
that time?

Dear Ms. Swanson,

thanks a lot for your query.

Single match tickets will be available during the third sales phase from 12th of
December, 2005 until 15th of January, 2006. More specific information about this
third sales phase, as well as about for which country tickets will be available, will
be published directly before in a press release.

If you applied for tickets during one phase and did not receive any tickets, your
application will be deleted. The applications are valid for the applicant as well
as for the visitors mentioned in the application only for one sales phase.

If you would like to apply again within a new phase, in order to simplify the data entry, you can log in with your E-Mail-address and password in the Customer Self Service area. Your personal data entered in a previous sales phase will be saved in there.

Yours sincerely

Is there any other possible way to get tickets? Like a travel agency or a group package.

I would say that www.soccertravel.com would be your best bet -- although you will pay a pretty fair penny. I got a quote from them in late August and their price includes lodging, transportation to matches and tickets -- but not air-fare. But at least you're guaranteed tickets.

I'm sure as you read through this whole thread (and others) you'll get more information. FIFA is still the best price-wise, but it's a crap shoot (IMO) as to who'll get tickets.

Well you can see they are making strides as they have cut the list down to 37 teams I think, all those tickets that were sold for the other teams will probably be redistributed at some point. Thanks for the update might have to keep an eye out on the site for the next few days.

The icon for US TST 5 was yellow for a while just a few minutes ago, but when I clicked on it, I could not select a number for how many tickets I wanted to buy. Well, good for whoever got them. There was an icon for Mexico that was yellow as well, and it would allow you to pick the number of tickets (only "1" was available). I just checked again, and now it is back to all red.

Dammit. I have been trying to get a hold of tickets for so long now; this is extremely frustrating... And to think, they are only putting one third of the tickets on sale, and giving the rest (presumably) to assorted fatcats.

I quickly skimmed through this thread and I don't think I saw what I was looking for either. I'm looking for a travel agency that is selling WC packages as well.

I saw two comments for Euroteaminfo and Soccertravel.
Soccertravel IMO is way overpriced.

Has anyone here dealt with Euroteaminfo?

Other I have found were Razorgator, Soccerphile, and Ticketcity.
Has anyone ever bought from these sites or know of anyone who has purchased packages here and had no problems?

Thanks in advance.

I bought from Euroteam.info - but I only bought tickets. So far I have been pleased, and assuming I get my tickets in May I will be even more pleased.

Thanks for the quick response!

That was going to be my next question...

How are many of you getting ready for this? Are you buying a package deal or buying things seperately?

I'd like to buy the tix now but I'm afraid I won't be able to get a hotel room.
I'm looking for Mexico and I don't we'll know where they will be playing till December, right?

Thanks again.

does anyone else here get really excited when they see new posts on this thread, thinking the USSF has finally decided what they want to do with the 8 % ticket allotment some of us may be able to get our hands on??? And then extremely depressed when its not and start cursing the ussf?
