I posted this question in the Mexico section but now reading some of the threads over here, this section seems have more info and be more helpful.

Aside the fifaworldcup site, are there any other sites you guys are using to get tix? I'm looking for tix for Mexico and right now fifaworldcup is showing no tix for Mexico.

thanks everyone

So did I, but when I went to the bank I realized that I didn't have the "intended form at www. FIFAworldcup.com" which "needs to be used". My bank said they needed the postal address of both the beneficiary and the bank in Germany to wire the money.

But, upon going to www.FIFAworldcup.com, I realized that I have no idea where this intended form is, and couldn't find it. Anyone else find it?
For the record : Banks suck. I know. I checked. Mine won't send it because there is no account number, just the name. And I don't trust FIFA to get back to me any time soon.

In related news, I'm praying the rush through my Mastercard, but I don't see that happening. There are going to be some horro stories I'm sure.

Postal address (beneficiary):

Deutscher Fußball-Bund
Otto-Fleck-Schneise 6
60528 Frankfurt/Main

I can't figure out the branch bank - I would assume it is at the main office, but unfortunately that area of the site is only in German and I can't read German.

Thanks for the beneficiary address, that will be useful I'm sure.

So I actually got a reply from FIFA with regards to the bank address:

"Dear Customer,

thank you very much for your email.

Our bank account number is stated as IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
We would recommend you to print all the information given in our email and present it
to your bank. Every detail that is needed in order to complete an international transfer
is given in that email.

Since your bank transfer is international, there is no address or telephone number
required. However, should your bank still request those details: Dresdner Bank AG,
Gallusanlage 2, D-60329 Frankfurt am Main

Should the reference number be too long, you can leave out the figures before and
after your order number. Since your order number is the number required in order to
assign the receipt of your payment to your order, it should be sufficient to provide us
with that number.

We hope this information has been useful for you.

Yours sincerely

But I still don't know anything about the intended form we're supposed to use for this transfer which is supposedly on fifaworldcup.com

I paid by Bank Transfer during the first sales phase. All the information I had was on the initial email that FIFA sent me. This is the first of which I've heard of an Intended form. My bank transfer was successful (or at least I assume it was) since several weeks later my account status was changed to "paid".

seriously,

Internet Access: $49.95 / per month
Access to Bigsoccer: Free
Tickets to the world cup: approx $1200

Not having to worry about some ridiculous bank transfer process: priceless

All, I'd send a notice to FIFA as I'm sure there are some who will actually default b/c of the bank transfer protocol and FIFA will probably release those tix again.

just finished my bank transfer. Seems to have worked fine.

Supposedly you don't need the postal addresses at all...the first person I saw at the bank was incompetent. It is all coded in the IBAN number I believe.

I work for ForEx at Wells...and this is an easy one to format:

ALWAYS use the IBAN...it goes in the beneficiary account number field on a wire form. Should start with DE and followed by 20 numbers
ALWAYS use a SWIFT Code for the Bank...Dresdner's is DRESDEFF
Make sure the beneficiary name matches EXACTLY with the information provided. Since I have not yet procured tix, I am unsure of this, but an earlier poster wrote: Deutscher Fußball-Bund.
Bene address: some banks require this (OFAC/Travel Rule compliance), others do not. It cannot hurt to provide (ie. incorrect bene address has no bearing on a wire being applied correctly), so bring it with you just in case.

That is all you need...a bank employee that tells you that you need the bene bank address is not correct...the branch info (BLZ in Germany) is embedded in the IBAN and Dresdner's software will read the IBAN, match the bene name on the wire to the name on the account, and move the Euros...without a human touching it.

Good luck and hope to see everyone in DE this June,
Matt

Done.

Turns out the first person I spoke to indeed had no clue what she was talking about.

I, too, am one of the many who are attempting to get WC 2006 tix. I've been trying about 1 month now, since our win vs. Mexico.

I'm hoping to get USA TST3 or TST4 series for 3 persons. Since the U.S. icons have been solidly red for the past month, I clicked on a Venezuela icon to see what questions I would need to fill out the application. I didn't complete it of course, but printed the application page so that I would know what was expected if that U.S. icon ever turns yellow or green.

Question -- I have a passport # but my 2 nieces who will accompany me don't yet have their passports -- and FIFA is asking for passport #s for "guests". My nieces are in the midst of applying for their passports. Can I use their U.S. social security numbers instead? I'm hoping yes, because if FIFA is going to be releasing some tix here and there I don't want to lose out because my 2 "guests" don't yet have their passport #s.

If anyone knows the answer, please let me know.

Thanks!

I was told SSNs work for now, and then you can go back and change.

I changed to a credit card; has anyone been billed yet, and if not, when are credit cards supposed to be billed?

Hmmm. Gotta check it then.

If you initially applied as a bank transfer then changed to a credit card, they will not have billed you instantly.

I emailed FIFA about this and here is there response:

+++ Please note that for your new request the intended form on
+++ www.fifaworldcup.com needs to be used. Your message to
+++ noreply@mx.fwctc.com won’t be forwarded and/or reprocessed. +++

Dear Mr. Kotas,

Due to the fact that the latest payment run has just been taking place before you made your changes in payment method we will charge your credit card as soon as possible.

Until then the tickets will still be kept in reservation for you.

Yours sincerely

I called my CC company--there was a hold of $9.95 on the card, but they couldn't tell me who it was from.

Guessing it's FIFA putting a marker on the account.

Had a look quick look through this thread and couldn't find the info I needed, but apologies in advance if this has been covered already.

I want to try and get tickets during the next sales period from FIFA - according to their website (www.fifaworldcup.com) in December when 300,000 more tickets will be released. How do I put in an application for these tickets. When I click on the ticket shop link of FIFA's website it still has the info for the May 2005 sales period, and clicking on 'Order Tickets Now' takes me to an outdated page where applications for certain TST's are available.

Is the application for the next sales period not up yet - or am I just not seeing it? Any help is appreciated.

The next phase begins in December and it is city-specific, so you can't buy tickets to see all USA unless you buy a ticket in say, Berlin for A2vA4 as well as Munich for A2vA1, etc...
