Good article on how Jermaine pretty much sealed his fate with the Drunk Driving arrest.

It is just sad that someone that supposedly has the talent to do big things does not have the drive/common sense/ intelligence, etc. to know that it takes more than talent to compete these days. You have to be the whole package and training is his job! Not drinking and partying-disobeying curfews, etc. If he is lucky he won't get any jail time for this offense, but he may not have a job after this either. Brum is putting his loan on hold for now. Pending sentencing I think. I hope that he gets some sort of counseling since this is his 2nd arrest for the same offense in a year.
Seems to me that if Arsene could not keep him in line (since he is known to be very strict), Jermaine may be a lost cause.

Pennant is a pin in the arse. Always has been. He's led Ash astray loads of times. Hence being chucked to Leeds the first time..... Not to mention his little habit of shegging around geting girls pregnant (3 at the last count....). He's a disgrace and is too arrogant for his own good. The sooner he is out the better in my opinion.

Being drunk on a game day has been brought up as a justification for cancelling Pennants contract. I say send him packing and let him and his agent try to pick up the pieces (of his career i mean, not ass). Like i'm sure he's heard many times before "Hey, you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." See ya!

Leeds was the ideal place for him to spend his loan spell, bunch of twats who always get into trouble.

Exactly, and as i said, we'll have him back.
What did Arsenal do when that one guy, what's him name, spent 2 months in prison 15 years ago?
We in Leeds would have taken him as well....

Yeah, there wasn't a team in England that wouldn't have taken that guy!
You can have Pennant. In fact, he might very well have to drop a division to have a manager take a chance on him after this charge. He just seems stupid, I think he needs a talk with the above mentioned Arsenal captain, but I doubt he'd listen.

Wenger wants Pennant to get help (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=323241&cc=5901) In a sympathetic interview, Wenger confirms that Pennant has no future at Arsenal (surprise!) and recommends that JP talk to Tony Adams to get help for his obvious problems.

Pennant has a bright future ahead, possibly also representing England. But no big club in the EPL would ever tolerate his antics. Jermaine somewhat reminds me of Darryl Strawberry's MLB saga. Both have all the talent in the world yet neither can seem to keep a straight face. In the end I think its sad that he could never pull it together for us.
