I don't understand this argument. So just because you have more fans, that means you have more of a 'right' to win things?
So does Arsenal have more of a right to be successful than Charlton?
Or does Man U have more of a right to be successful than Bolton?

Big clubs are called big clubs because of their trophy records. Thats why:
Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Everton are the traditional big top 6.

The title says nothing about "more of a right". "We have to be successful" simply implies (to me anyway) that "big clubs" feel more pressure to be successful.
Of course, they are only big because of what's been achieved in the past (as has been pointed out) so now they feel pressure from shareholders and fans to keep getting more success or at least, not go backwards.
Football is now a business of results. I think that's all it means. My 2 cents. :D

When you have 200 million fans worldwide that are helping pay the club through jerseys and TV packages, there must be more obligation to win something than there is with a club like West Brom
