Beckham wouldn't sign for Newcastle because the "Toon Army in Asia" may have taken a hit recently.

Is that a quote verbatim? Just asking because I'm curious as to exactly what he said.

This story reminds me of one of the sad state of journalism these days. I found 3 different articles on his offensive remarks. But not a single one quoted them. Why the heck not? Am I somehow so incapable of making a judgement on my own that you can't show us what was he said?

Agree completely about the lack of the verbatim quote. Just wonder if there is any sort of libel or Press Council concerns about the quote? BTW, thanks, TJ Castro for the prompt reply.

I like him. At least he has the balls to speak his mind.

Marsh was their most high profile pundit .He is the one who did most of the talking on Sky soccer saturday or any other coverage of football on SKY.Its crazy for him to throw his comfortable career away just for one remark.
Or maybe he was the victim of some PC do-gooder at SKY .

It was said on 'You're on Sky Sports' the original bits were edited out but i remember seeing him going a little nuts when a caller said he was condoning the actions of Diouff, but i only heard about it yesterday it's basically Big Ron all over again and to be truthful Marsh should have known better after seeing how Ron was ruined after his comments.

Football is a funny old game. Normal football fans would have just laughed it off as a joke. But the time the programme went out on air. You have got all the wankers watching in there slippers with there hot chocolate in a flask. Probs wouldnt know a joke if it crept up behind them and shouted boo.

Rumour has it that Sky are using tackful thinking, and are going to ship in Big Ron as Marsh's replacement.

I think we should start a petition for Mel B's yellow card to be lifted.
