I know Hertha Berlin got really hot right before the break, but Bayern are just too talented.

I see this match ending 2-1.

No offence taken. I just love posting/chatting about football and starting match threads gives me things footie related to discuss. I watch the EPL, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, MLS, and Mexican. Just can't get enough......

This should be a nice test for both sides... Berlin is a troublemaker in the Bundesliga and Munich will be anxious to see how their show plays on the road.

I expect a tight defense match with Makaay lurking on the counter and Pizarro being left to trouble the defense. Ballack's return will be interesting for the starting lineup... who will sit? I say Ze Roberto. Will Frings play right back? Hargreaves wide or d-mid? Scholl to start? Schweinsteiger for Ze?

What the hell, I'll take a stab at the lineup...
(based on how the match ended last week)

................Kahn
Frings...Lucio...Kovac...Brazzo
...............Ballack
Hargreaves........Schweinsteiger
...............Scholl
........Pizarro......Makaay

Ze Roberto could start in place of Schweiny, but I say fvkc it! Frings and Hargreaves could be interchangeable. Zickler on in the second.

It could be

...................Kahn
Hargreaves...Lucio...Kovac...Brazzo
..................Ballack
Schweinsteiger........Ze roberto
...............Scholl
........Pizarro......Makaay

If Deisler fit, he might start or come on late on the 2nd half. We have too many great midfielders, it's time to rotate players.

Equally as strong. Either way, I feel confident that the lineup will be solid. Frings I don't see sitting, but Schweiny and Scholl have been great thus far. Ze has come under some criticism with some sub-par performances.

GO FCBAYERN!!!!

not sure if frings is willing to play at rb as he did during the voeller time at wc2002 and he complained after that saying he wants to play in the center and hes been there since.

Man, you gotta love a team that has so many players that can play such a variety of positions, makes everything so much more interesting, doesn't it? It would be interesting to see Frings or Hargreaves in a fulback position. As for Hertha, they are real strong on the counter attack, thats what Bayern has to be aware of.

I think Magath should have Frings or Hargreaves on Marcelinho, if he is taken care of, the rest is up to Bayern. Hoping for Schweinsteiger to start as well.

You know I really have not followed Berlin close this year. Were they pretty much a one-trick pony w/ Marcelinho last year? What have they done this year to change that?

I saw them play Wolfsburg and Marcelinho was amazing. Impressive player. He does seem to have a better supporting cast. It wasn't like he was the loan contributor, just the most visibly talented player and, that game, the hat-trick winner.

Is this going to be live or delayed, so I don’t listen in the radio if I can watch it later. Did you watch anything here before is it good? And how much does it cost? We wont see Bayern on FSW, Bayern-Leverkusen is on Setanta pub channel, really stinks

Yeah I guess we're not gonna get to see Bayern at all this year since their games are not considered as the "game of the week," or the second best game. Damn Bastards

You should be thankful for NOT seeing Bayern this week! Die Blau/Weiß von Berlin is going to send Magath's Bayern crew packing back to München!

Final Result: Hertha BSC 2, Die verrückte Bayern 1 :p

Notes from Bayern site

Sebastian Deisler was absent from Tuesday training, ordered to bed with the flu. The coach declined to speculate on when the 24 year-old former Berlin star might resume training

Super-sub Guerrero also resumed training on Tuesday. "There are no problems any more," the youngster said after the morning session. "Paolo is back in contention as long as nothing crops up before Sunday," Magath confirmed.

I think Magath should drop Scholl on the bench on away games as hometeams usually play more aggressively in the 1st half, so using 2 strong MC is the right way, i believe, though dropping Scholl for Frings wouldn't effect much to the teamplay. Alternatively, drop Ze roberto for scholl :p
