....before he drives newcastle into the ground. Im sick to the teeth of his pig-headed bullying of every player who dares question his authority. He's a sh1t manager, and a coward. Exiling your second best striker to the wing because you have personal differences with him, does a disservice to the team and the fans. Souness has had it out for Bellamy since day one and his "tactical" moves have been nothing but a wind up...trying to provoke Craig into a stituation like this one. To be sure, Bellamy has his foibles but he's also given us GOALS. Goals that have made us a premiership threat, and a european fixture for the past few years. What precisely has Sourness done? He's destroyed morale, horrendously mismanaged the team, and moored us in the bottom half of the table.
NEITHER of these two have class, but only ONE of them can see the toon through to any kind of success. And it isnt the manager.

Two points:
1) What morale? I didn't see a whole lot of morale in Robson's team earlier this year.

2) Shearer has class. Shearer came down on Souney's side of this. End of arguement.

Right I was not there and only know what I read. When I read that Shearer is critical of Bellamy... then I have to conclude that Bellamy is in the wrong here.

Bellamy wide of the mark (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/feature?id=322916&cc=5901)

Very insightful article.

Bellamy is a fcukwit. He should do as Souness tells him. After all, as the article states, he has no problem playing right wing for Wales. Even if he did have a problem with the manager, he should have talked to Souness about it first instead of going to the media. His little interview with Sky Sports, especially the part where he publicly calls Souness a liar, was irresponsible. Though I agree with Shearer backing Souness, Shearer shouldn't have come out and publicly blasted Bellamy either. Souness and Bellamy should have handled this out of the view of the public. Both of them are at fault by making Newcastle the focal point of the media with some very negative publicity.

Souness does have my backing on this one (the row with Bellamy) by the way. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Bellamy was gone by the beginning of February.

Well. You should fire Souness. But not for the Bellamy bust up.

Souness drove Blackburn into the ground and turned them into relegation strugglers. He will soon do the same to Newcastle. Babayaro in for Bernard? Is that an upgrade? Not for my money. The chase of Yakubu was also laughable, is Newcastle's biggest need really another striker right now? Perhaps a midfield general, but perhaps I'm dreaming.

Newcastle is a jigsaw puzzle with a bunch of piece which don't fit. You need a manager who can sort the good (Jenas, Ameobi, and eventually Milner for my money) from the bad (Kluivert, Bowyer, Dyer, etc.). I don't think Souey is the man for it.

See. Bernard didnt want to play for us. End of in my opinion. See. Its all down to my manager. He has all the tools at his disposal. Lets just see what he does with them.

B Rock,
This is a ridiculous and ignorant comment.

First, Souness did not run Blackburn into the ground. He coached them for four games this year and cannot be held accountable for the fact that they currently sit in 16th place. He put together the team that won promotion to the EPL (2001-02) and finished in 6th place (2002-03). They floundered in 2003-04 because they lost Duff and Dunn.

The fact is a team of Blackburn's size could not pass on the offer they got from Chelsea for Duff, and they cannot afford to replace him with a player of similar talents... simple as that.

Second, the Bernard thing has been going on long, long before Souness showed up. True he was our best defender after Woody left--- but that is not saying much. If a player does not want to be at St. James, let him go. Babayaro has played pretty well so far.

Yeah, we need a guy in the middle. We need a lot of players. Most of all we need a solid defense and that is what Souness primary focus has been. You didn't mention Boumsong (our main acquistion)--- who played very well against Arsenal, by all accounts.

Thrid, strikers. Yeah, we do need strikers, actually. Shearer is retiring. Bellamy is gone. Kluivert (well, he'll be gone as well) and Ameobi, he's getting his shot, but hasn't delivered. Yakubu would've been a nice addition.

And finally, regarding those jigsaw pieces. Those pieces won a lot of games last year when Johnathan Woodgate was healthy. When Woody was injured, they were mediocre to bad-- pretty much what we have this season. The big mistake was not replacing Woodgate and shoring up the defense before the season started (before Souness arrived).

Cleaning house? Souness did not acquire Bowyer, Dyer, or Kluivert. I don't expect they'll be around next season.

And one more thing.

I'm not saying that Boumsong is as good as Woodgate. We just need somebody in the back to take charge--- someone who isn't Officer Bramble, and we'll be okay.

;)

But, anyway, B Rock thanks for showing concern for our club and welcome!

cant doubth souness's ability by lookin at what he did to blackburn...
but his attitude or his managerial style conflicts with many of our players..
this would see many of them gone by the end of the year...
i just hope we wont be forced into selling our players due to financial conditions...
btw.. n e one know of our financial condition right now?

See. I thought he was class at Liverpool. He is my manager. The club appointed him. Therefore i am totally 110% behind him.

Ps. That doesnt stop me from calling him a stupid bastard if he gets things wrong in a game.

Which of our players are you talking about? So far the one's he's had trouble with are the whinners and loafers. I don't want them around anyway.

Yeah, he had trouble at Blackburn with some of the players--- but not Duff and not Friedel. The two classiest players they had.

Now, if he'd come over and had a run in with Shearer that would be an entirely different issue. Shearer is class, just as Duff and Friedel are class (to a lesser degree), and Souness hasn't had trouble with class. He's had trouble with Bellamy, Bernard, Andy Cole, and Dwight Yorke.

I liked Bernard and Bellamy, and I like Robert (think I'm the only one left on that account), but if he's going to whine or loaf-- out the door with him.
