The way I see it.

When he left (way back) in August I was gutted. I thought how could he leave us when we really needed him most. Since he has gone we haven’t looked back. The £20 million (or thereabouts) we got for him up front wasn’t bad. It has given us the money to buy Beattie (who will come good) in the last 2 games he has been so unlucky hitting the post any other time they would bounce either straight in or fall to one of our players to knock in the rebound.

We all know Rooney is a special player who can change a game and if the crowd wind him up eg like the shite did last week then it can have dire consequences. I would hate to see him score against us and start kissing the manure shirt. There were coins thrown and even a mobile (cell) phone hurled at him. I know if he did score against us chairs and even worse things would go in his direction.

So when he comes to Goodison I hope people don’t start calling him names (eg you fat b*st*rd or even worse Judas).

He has saved Everton Football Club by leaving. If he was still there I really don’t think we would be fourth in the league.

Lets just hope if he does play he will have one of his quiet games.

I don't think the Goodison crowd is going to welcome him with open arms. While I too think his leaving saved the club, most people (from what I've seen) just feel betrayed by that "Once a Blue, Always a Blue" stuff. I always call him Judas for that simple reason.

I hope he has enough respect to not come back to the place that gave him his start and act like a jerk (kissing the manure shirt would be the worst thing he could do). Part of me wants to believe he's still a Blue at heart, he just left to better his career and who could blame him for that? His behavior upon his return to Goodison will show us what kind of player and person he really is.

Finally people have got over their soreness of him leaving and started to realise he gave us a good 20 million quid, I think we did better with him leaving, if you look at his present form!

Can I ask, besides the James Beatie deal, where exactly all the money that Moyes is reputed to be able to spend, went??? (or is it set with the idea to reward the present players with the form they had with bonuses and incentives to stay for next year rather than jump ship when their stock as player are up?)

Mind ya, wasn't someone going to come in with more money for Everton, or did I hear wrong?

(plus Graveson's deal of 2 mil. quid also has to be putting the Toffeys closer to the black than in the red)

Well, he still has it to spend. It hasn't "gone" anywhere. We aren't not signing people because we don't have the money -- Moysie just doesn't want to bring in someone who's not right for the club.

As for the other money, well, chalk that up to another one of Bill Kenwright's unfulfilled promises.

And we're probably not even close to being in the black. We owed the banks £40m and not all of the Rooney deal went towards paying that back.

I'm glad that Moyes is being careful with who he's buying.

So we drew Manchester United in the FA Cup 5th Round. That ought to be loads of fun. Anyone wanna take bets on what's thrown at Judas when he returns to Goodison? :D

i dont think Rooney has kissed his red shirt yet. i don't think he's going to spit in yall's faces; the kid's been an everton fan for forever, and it's not like he up and left in the middle of the night (like bobby mcmahon said). you got loads of cash for him, you've got bettie, you're fouth in the table and show no signs of slipping, and ol shrek is having the time of his life. he's happy, you're happy, strikers come and go, so fcuk it.
