After the success of the last trivia question. Can anyone name the 10 ex-Arsenal players who have won the European Cup/Champions League?

Just to clarify - do you mean players that have played for Arsenal in the past, that have won the CL with another club?

Some won it before siging for us, some have moved on and won it elsewhere. No existing winners play for us.

Liam Brady is not one of them. That makes two to go.
However, Jimmy Rimmer is on my list of ten but I seem to remember Nigel Spink making his debut in the final. Did Jimmy still get one? He does count as in the ten though.

I dont know exactly when Jens joined Dortmund, but I'm 100% sure that he won the UEFA Cup with Schalke in '97.

Rimmer started for Villa, but got injured very early on when Spink took over and played a blinder as I recall.
To round out the ten then: Andy Cole (Manchester United) and Davor Suker (Real Madrid).

Spot on. These details can be found in an excellent new book called The Arsenal Miscellany written by someone who worked there from 1946.

You must spread some rep around before giving to Micheac again...
Good show. I'll get you later. Good call on Jimmy Rimmer. Now there's a name that I haven't heard for a while. Oh, and I saw Brian Kidd's first start at Highbury. The mid-70s when I lived in England were pretty bleak, and Kidd and Brady's emergence was about there was to cheer about.

For our American friends. What was Highbury used for between 1916-1919?

Something WWI-related but what? Hospital, barracks, drilling area, or something else entirely? Any hints?
I remember knowing this at one time but my brain is obviously in need of a reboot. They talked about during the tour. Argh. This is why trivia drives me nuts.

How about WWII? I could have sworn it had some actual war-related use but maybe I was too busy being awestruck on my first visit to remember correctly. Anyway, good trivia question.

Highbury was used as a blanket store during WWII. The Northbank was hit during the blitz and we played some friendlies at Shite Fart Lane.
