I went to a PSG-Nantes game at Parc Des Princes in the fall two years ago.

It was a hell of a good time. Enjoy yourself. Take a stroll in the gift-shop. It's nice.

Hem, avoid to be too close to the Boulogne or Auteuil kop (i.e.stands) ; except if you want some "ambiance".

Take the subway (line 9, direction : Pont de Sevres, stop : Porte de St Cloud )

arrive with 30 mns in advance...

The Parc des Princes is located in the XVIth district, the bourgeoisie district...watch your manners !! :o

you're going to see a game against the weakest team of L1, so I guess you'll have a good time if you cheer for PSG :D

Don't buy a cheap seat. Otherwise, you could meet people you don't want to meet (except if you enjoy a good brawl with nazis, of course). PSG is still plagued by a few dozens of hooligans, making it the worst supporters in France. They are not that many, but it's still better to avoid them.

(1) check eBay for tix: I did, and got PSG-Lyon, Presidentielle, just to the left and two rows back from the bench, for a decent price (see thread and pics (http://67.18.212.126/forum/showthread.php?t=108681))

(2) get there early, if you take the Metro (which you should, b/c you won't get a cab out of there), be prepared for it to be crowded post-game (and with raucous and wonderful singing if PSG win!).

(3) Enjoy yourself; one of the best experiences in the world is Parc Des Princes when it's rocking...architecturally, the lighting is also excellent, and casts the least amount of shadows on the pitch...the stadium is quality, which is why (part of the reason why, at any rate) PSG, having had the option to move to the Stade de France, chose to stay.

Good luck.

Those were all great pics Mel........... My girl has an uncle that has lived in Paris and he will probably be dropping me off. I will take the metro home with hopefully some rowdy fans. He will also be taking care of tickets and will be going to see what he can obtain tomorrow. I hope they are not sold out, then I will probably scalp since I do not want to use Ebay.

How do you say I don't speak French but I do speak English and Spanish again? :D

Needless to say...I'm pretty excited...... I have always wanted to go to the Parc Des Princes

Sorry to tell you that but keep your money for Disneyland because the Parc won't sing anymore 'till Francis Graille and Larrue will be there and because the team sucks...

cass is correct. Save your damn money. You might see another sorry ass performance by PSG like yesterday's match. If you are still going to Paris, just enjoy the city. Don't go just to see PSG during this season. You might jump off the Eiffel Tower.

The best places I think is the areas A, F, G, K. Cheap, but you can see the pitch very well and you're near one of the kops, with a very nice view of the other.

Unless you're in love with hooligans and skinheads, don't buy a ticket in R1.

However, I just hope for you that the strike of the supporters will end before March. In fact, when I come to the Parc des Princes, I'm just more fascinated the crowd and the ambiance than by the game itself. When I come here, I'm just so proud to be a Parisien ^^ Hope you won't be deceived...

I used to sit in Tribune K. Has a good view, not too full of yobs and is cheap (main reason I sat there.)

Even this is coming from a PSG fan, just save your money and drive down to Auxerre. Get a better chance of football there anyways......

btw: I flying down to Monaco for the match on Sunday.

Can't wait........ :D

Dam ! I sat one entire season (2000-2001) in the K stands, incroyable ; it's true it was nice and a noisy crowd give you thrills !

About the atmosphere that the Parc will miss untill the end of the season i've read this on a Chelsea forum:

"Wow wow wow !! The atmosphere yesterday was just amazing!! To those who have been to many other European games maybe it wasn’t as good as the likes of Milan and Besiktas (even if the game wasn't in their stadium), but as someone who’s only ever been to games in England it was just incredible! And having to be escorted to the stadium by armoured police was interesting, I guess there really were concerns about the PSG fans, though the ones we saw were quite nice and either singing before the game or looking fed up afterwards (understandably). Once inside the stadium the first thing everyone noticed was the constant noise, it was so loud! We were right next to where the hardcore fans sit (I guess their equivalent of the MH except slightly more animated!) and I really was in awe of the atmosphere coming from there, the drums going all the time, the flares being lit, the constant singing and chanting even when they were 3-0 down.. oh and of course many boos and whistles for Drogba... There really was so much noise I could barely hear the ppl around me!"

Other:

"Got to admit thought they were top class with their singing, flag waving, finger across the throats signs. Even so at 3-0 down they carried on supporting, didn't boo their players once. Well impressed. Made it an even better night".

That's what you won't see Levante cause of the fan's strikes.
The LFP and Francis GRAILLE are trying to ban the Ultras from the Parc ( and after that from the others french stadiums ) but the Parc need the ultras that's why there is a big crisis between the fans and the management.
Maybe Ganu will give better explanations cause my english is weak :(

They're trying to ban ultras? I don't see the point in doing something like that. They are a part of the game. I was somewhat dissapointed at the PSG supporters when they threw flares. I understand their frustration, but they need to be more safe. PSG needs to get their act together though.

Cass, your English was fine!!! :)

Yes, Graille out NOW

me no like the bad man. Football good. Graille no good.

Seriously cass your English is better than my French. lol :D

Nah, honestly, I would cheer PSG on always, but its incessant pricks like Graille that make me boo. The lack of ultras, especailly at the Istres game - killed the atmosphere it was like a library. :(

I suppose they will just have to cheer outside M. Graille's house.

Allez! Paris! Allez!
