my squad: Since we don't have another game after this until Tuesday we can afford to play a stronger side.
-----------Dudek--------
-Raven-Carragher-Pellegrino-Traore
-----------Hamann-----------
-------Garcia------Riise------
----------Gerrard---------
-------Moro------Baros-----
Quick thoughts: I think Moro should play as Watford will allow him to get further acclimated to the team without all the difficulty of the premier league.
I tinkered with putting Biscan in for Garcia but thought Watford would allow him to gain some confidence.
I think the short-term solution with Nunez out is to play a 4-1-2-1-2 as shown above. Hamann can play his usual defensive role while Garcia and Riise can play in a spot where they're allowed to go out wide yet still capable of moving back into the middle (which suits their styles).
We should win the two legs combined. Watford must beat us by two goals or more to win without going into extra time. A draw will give us a win no matter what. Even though we've struggled recently, this is a shot at a cup final and we should be fired up. I think this shows the possibilities with our manager. How many new managers can take a club over and lead them to a cup final? One of the highlights of the year so far.

Well, i totaly agree with distrunner450´s line-up.but i wouldnt mind seeing biscan instead of DiDi in the lineup!Garcia just has to show a bit of maturity and has to stop doing all those fancy stuff!!!Its a semifinal and all the lads should be fiered up!Realisticaly,i think well win 1-0 ,but lets hope we can get on form and score lots more!!
and Hammans coments dont look to encouraging .its okay if the fans say this, but if a player says we may not make it to europe, thats a total diferent problem!!!I hope the players and the manager wake up,and stop making foolish errors!!!!But im still sure well get that 4th spot!As i said before,Everton ,Boro and Charton still have to play Arsenal,Chelski and MAnU ,while we only have to play arsenal!!!They will definetly lose atleast 7 points from those games, and oviously we still have to play those sides for the second time, with everton and boror(Which are the 2 most likely contenders to battle it out for the C.L spot)still having to visit anfield!

Unfortunately this is about the only option we have. I would play FSP wide and sit Garcia but since he's got those pictures of Rafa and the burro, he'll probably play.

What is the status on Finnan's injury? Right now we are stretched to the wire on our back line depth. We're forced to play Raven since Finnan is out at right back and Hyppia's injury forces Carragher to move back to the center-spot. Meanwhile, Kewell's injury means that Riise has to play up while Traore and Warnock split time on the left.

Hamann picked up his 5th yellow card against Southampton. He should be suspended for this match. Or does the suspension only apply to Premiership games?

I am very dissapointed with Didi's comments. Judging by our recent performances there really is a lack of confidence in the squad. But being 7 points behind with 42 to play for isn't exactly a big mountain to climb.

He's just being honest. If we can't score on southhamton and burnley it willnot be easy to move up the table..

Oh no!!!!Josemi is going to have a late fitness test before thewatford game!HEll be in the squad again!!Good that finnans coming back,he should be fit for the charton game!!I find rafa so unfair!Traore did make a big mistake in the burnley match, and thats why i think he was rightly taken out of the XI for 1 game! But pellegrinos mistake was even worst! It may have even cost us the match!(WHo know what would have happened if pelle didnt give the ball away so close from goal!)He should be benched aswell, but that @sshole(rafa) will surely play him and Josemi if they are fit enough!Im starting to even hate rafa!!!

Isn't it just a bit early for the hatred and the ***hole comments? As i wrote elsewhere GH came 7th his first season and there was NO Cup semifinal. Lets get a full squad with a run of games and then judge.

I'm not completely sure, but I'd assume it only applies to the EPL

While I’d like to see Raven given a shot at RB, I have a feeling Rafa will keep Jamie at RB and have Traore play CB with Pellegrino, with Warnock at LB.
I thought it was a bit harsh that Warnock was the one pulled at HT on Sat, as I think he looked a lot better than Pellegrino, who is going to need some time to get used to the pace of the game. Though obviously tactically it made most sense to move Riise back to LB to allow FSP to go on the right.
While I’m also getting frustrated by the performance of some of the Spanish lads, I’m optimistic that they will come around. Does any one remember Henry’s or Pires first seasons in the Premiership. Xabi has already show he’s class, and likes of Garcia and Nunez will hopefully improve. With Morientes it’s only a matter of him getting match fit before he starts knocking them in.
We all knew there would be a lot of ups and downs when Rafa took over, obviously the last week has been pretty much the lowest point, but lets face it we don’t have a deep squad and injuries are killing us. But we didn’t lose any ground to the enemy on Sat in the race for a Champs League spot and Boro collapsed as well, so it wasn’t all bad.
The one thing that is frustrating me is that we have perfectly good CB in Henchoz, who Rafa clearly doesn’t like for some reason. Yet can anyone tell me they wouldn’t rather see Henchoz and Jamie lining-up together at CB tomorrow than Pellegrino and Traore out there?
Its not going to be easy against Watford, given their recent giant killing against Southampton and Pompey at home, and their performance at Anfield. Helguson is the one that worries me, as he’s a premiership quality striker and seems to come up big in these cup games.
However this is Semi-Final and hopefully the boys will come out angry and up for it, unlike like on Saturday. Plus the League Cup is our competition after all :)

The only reason I think your wrong is because there was talk about this when Lampard injured Alonso. It was suggested that he got booked purposely so that he could serve his suspension against Scunthrope in the FA Cup.

I don't think its on TV in the U.S. The one place I know on the web is at the Liverpool website. The only problem is that you have to have premium access.

All the Carling Cup games are available for everyone on free commentary at BBC 5 Live, so you can listen to todays game here.
Its only the Premiership and Champs league that are on premium at Liverpoolfc.tv. As the FA Cup games they have to allow everyone access to them, not that it will do you any good this year
