Parker will be a great player when he gets his chance.

At the end of every English Football season the members of the PFA, the players union, vote on which of its young members has played the best football in the previous year. All professional footballers, regardless of nationality, under the age of 23 playing in the English leagues are eligible for the award. The award is the most prestigous honour available specifically to young footballers given in England.

wow... a bit unfair if 20 years down the road someone looks at the list and thinks that Chelsea somehow fostered a great young player... that should go to Charlton... and he should come to United, where, when fit, he would actually play regularly.

I do have to wonder if Parker will be here next season though, don't you?

When Gerrard comes, i think he'll either want away or be traded.

Clan, you said "when" and not "if" -- is SG's transfer to Chelsea a pretty sure thing, then?

I've got my fingers crossed, but don't want to get my hopes up *too* high . . .

Oh, i don't know for sure mate.
But, after seeing the utter dross they served up this week in the Fa Cup and league, combined with his stated to the world desire to win things NOW, i don't see him turning down a renewed offer to play at Stamford Bridge.

imho that is.

Yes, I could easily envision a deal of Scotty Parker for Christiano Ronaldo. Man U. need someone sooner than later to replace the aged Roy Keen, and Ronanaldo is young enough, that we could put him out on loan until he's ready for the first team at Chelsea.

I wouldn't be suprise to see him go out on loan next season. Selling him off might be a bit premature. There seems to be a good understanding at Chelsea to keep talented English players in the club.
