Here is the link, Arsenal world article (http://www.arsenal-world.co.uk/news/loadfeat.asp?cid=EDZ6&id=200553) Not much new in the article, most of its points have been talked to death on this board. The only tidbit i hadn't heard before alluded to Jens losing his place due to some kind of feud with Sol. Does anyone know about this?
Edit: The article also lost credibility with this quote: "Seventeen-year old Cesc Fabregas, who is no doubt better than Roy Keane" Huh?

We're potentially second in the league at the moment. We're 10 points behind a team with literally billions of whatever currency you can think of. We just had an undefeated run and we've lost only a few of games this season. There is no ********ing crisis. If you want to compete with Chelsea just keep your head down, concentrate on your own business and play a better game. There is nothing else you can do and bitching about some imaginary "crisis" only instills this doom-and-gloom mentality in the fans that does not need to be there. You want the team to do better, we should act more like the Portsmouth fans. Be as loud as you can, all the time, never stop backing your team even if they are 5-2 down in the last 5 minutes of a match. All this bitching makes me want to beat somebody because we have it so ********ing good that most teams would kill to be in our position. League holders after an unbeaten run of 49 games, new stadium being built, second behind a team that has to buy a league. What the hell else could you ********ing ask for? We know we're the best, shut the ******** up and prove it instead of whining all the damn time. Christ.
And this wasn't yelling at you Henrik, this is a statement directed towards everyone that believes we are in some kind of crisis.

There has also been a few newspaper articles lately about Viera's "lack of commitment", sorry I must have missed that thread here.

I don't think it had its own thread, but the writer of that article is hardly the first to notice that Vieira appears to be going through the motions this season.

I know but thats not my point.
What do you think, sell him and offer Edu a decent contract as the article suggests?
I have been a bit miffed and annoyed by the the "Arsenal-muse" lately who has clearly gone down that route. I cant imagine Viera not trying to do his best for Arsenal. I dont know why he's indifferent at the mo due, is it down to personal problems, homesickness, injuries or male menopause.??
To me it doesn't make sense. If Edu is worth it, they would offer him a fantastic contract, that seems really strange to me. To me he's a fantastic player we don't need to lose.
A championship side is a team who knows who's the first team keeper is, it says. I agree. We have 2 good keepers, but Almunia showed some weaknesses last saturday. I think we should buy a proven and excellent goalie that the back 4 can trust 100%, ei Sotons keeper, cant remember how to spell his name.

Logan, i totally agree.. we think so much alike regarding this~
its when you are fighting relegation is when you start to get down and out...
i think most people on these boards "jumped on board" when the arsenal were top notch (caddyshack reference).. i may be one of 10 of us (on here) that knew the arsenal when we were absolute ********..

I would give you boat loads of rep, if I didn't have a virus on my PC that won't let me open multiple windows within a website. Well said. I still think we overachieve. We don't spend nearly the $$$ of Man Utd or Chelsea and we are right near the top!!!

What is it with supporters? Do they all watch medical shows and secretly harbor desires to be doctors? They all look at the x-ray and the gas bubble and diagnose it as a heart attack instead of the indigestion it actually is. It's Vieira ! It's Lehmann! It's Sol! It's Kolo! It's Bobby! It's Almunia! It's the Mid-Field! It's the Back Four! It's Mike Riley! It's Roman's Money! It's someone or something that can't be proven but that's it!
We have four draws at Highbury against Bolton, Southampton, West Brom, and Man City. AT LEAST three of those matches should have won - full stop. We should have won at Palace - Full stop. We should have won or drawn at Bolton - full stop. That's ten to twelve points spurnned. Pissed away.By Arsenal and Arsenal alone. And the answer to our dilemma lies in how we threw those points away. Opponents have adjusted to our style of play, and we have not adjusted to that. They all play 4-5-1 now that is in fact a 9-0-1 when we are in posession in the opponents half. Opponents play to keep within 1-0 going to the final 10 minutes knowing then they at least have a chance to get a point. If we score instead at that point, oh well. But ingeneral, this tactic works in that more and more matches get to 80 minutes with no more than a single goal between us and them. These tactics close off the openings we are used to exploiting so brilliantly and so often. And we do not have an alternative attacking strategy to use, such as playing the ball ACROSS the box to force the defense to re-think its strategy. Worse still, we do not exploit the numerous corners these tactics inevitably result in. We have only one draw all year in which we did not score first or lead in the second half. The point is if we had simply done the job against the sides we should have done the job against even with the problems we DO have, we are still right even with Chelsea. Our effort to regain our place atop English football begins tommorrow at Highbury but perhaps moreso on the training ground at London Colney taking corners at least and lots of them, as that may be the one way we can respond right now. But once we do fix this and force these inferior teams to chase us again, look out...

Off topic but are you sure it is a virus? Are you running any type of pop-up blocker? google toolbar etc... try disableing the pop up blocker if you are then you should be able to give rep and open multiple windows, also if you have already done that, try running ad-aware to remove the possible causes.

I agree. We have thrown too many points away, too many goals conceded on corners etc. We used to be very effective on our own corners when we had Bould who often would stand in front of the front post heading the ball on to Adams or whoever came charging into the box.
Yes, todays game is a massive one.

I agree we have been spoiled by succes over the last 9 Wenger years and we were succesful under George Graham as well. The problem is Wenger is desperate to be succesful in Europe also, but we will not get past Bayern Munchen on our current form. We are no where near a top European side at the moment, our defence is leaking terribly and Wenger is not confident in Lehman anymore. We simply need to improve to win anything this year -that must be the aim, to win a trophy every year.

Just to explain that quote.... The fans have a song for most players. And Cesc's one is -
He's only Seventeen,
He's better than Roy Keane,
Fab - re - gas oh oh oh
Fab - re - gas oh oh oh
The article was quoting that.

......and with players like that why shouldn't we? If Chelsea win and draw two games on the trot and Arsenal win, their advantage is suddenly cut to 5 points. Then anything can happen. :)

Gotcha, that makes sense. Its too bad, but we TV fans miss out on so much atmospere. Even when their is singing you can't really hear the words due to the announcers rattling on.

Not bad, most sang till the end. Pity we have an idiot in charge. It was a ridiculous system with players out of position and three unfit new signings starting. Add to that our keeper giving them two goals and our captain getting the assist on the third...
