Has anyone else got this. I would venture 655321 has probably got it. Just another solid release in that DJ Kicks series. Some Massive Attack remixes, including unfinished sympathy to close it out. I could have done without Foxy Brown. A little Mos Def on there as well. Mostly its got a bit of a reggae feel, which would normally turn me off, but somehow i like this.

KEXP played Leftfield's Inspection (Check One) the other day, it's now on the ipod - great tune.

Sheesh...I didn't even know it was out yet, but rest assured I'll be ordering it via work soon. Ahhh...the pleasures of working for an online music company...

I don't think you'll be disapointed.

I'm really curious why you would even pick this up if you are normally turned off by reggae, the whole bristol sound is steeped in reggae as one if it's building blocks.
I have this and I like it....I like just about every DJ Kicks CD I have ever heard.

I almost bought that a few weeks ago. Strictly a budget choice. Plus, I just checked my "things I would like to check out but would probably forget once I get to the store" list and sure enough: Daddy G / DJ Kicks was the latest entry.

So now I'll definitely pick it up. I quite like the Thievery Corp. edition.

The Smith and Mighty release is very good, as well...

That one is pretty good.

I think my favorite one has been the Nightmares On Wax one.

...the Stereo MCs one was also surprisingly good.
