Congratulations, well done, hear, hear and all that:

I think the top three are in their own class at the moment, hard to chose among them, and Carlo should be ahead of a few on the list, but Lehman in top 12, wtf.

The top 22 keepers are: 1 Buffon (Juventus) 185 votes; 2 Cech (Chelsea) 125; 3 Dida (Milan) 78; 4 Casillas (Real Madrid) 75; 5 Nikopolidis (Olympiakos) 64; 6 Kahn (Bayern Munich) 39; 7 Abbondanzieri (Boca Jrs) 31; 8= Baía (Porto), Henao (Once Caldas Manizales) 29; 10 Canizares (Valencia) 23; 11 Van der Sar (Fulham) 18; 12 Lehmann (Arsenal) 17; 13 Isaksson (Rennes) 16; 14 Valdés (Barcelona) 15; 15 Villar (Newell’s Old Boys) 14; 16 Toldo (Inter) 13; 17 Woon-Jae (Suwon Samsung Blue-Wings) 11; 18 Sorensen (Aston Villa) 10; 19 Ricardo (Sporting Lisbon) 8; 20 Barthez (Marseille) 7; 21= Hildebrand (Stuttgart), Kameni (Espanyol) 6.

Is it some kind of rule that they have to choose Keepers that play on big clubs?

Maybe there is since you don't see Paul Robinson on this list...

I'm not that impressed with what Kahn has done this year in the games I've seen him play. He's helped lead Munich to the top of the league, but has has an uncharacteristic number of howlers.

 At what? James isn't England's best keeper, and may not be its second best keeper.

1. Paul Robinson
2. Robert Green
3. Nigel Martyn (even if he is older than Martin Keown [AKA: dirt])
4. Chris Kirkland (too often injured) or David James (too often sh!te)

is this list for jan-dec 2004? here's a few thoughts...

3 Dida (Milan): should have been 1st.

6 Kahn (Bayern Munich): ah, no. slipping..slipping...away..

7 Abbondanzieri (Boca Jrs): WTF? Boca were crap this past season.

9 Henao (Once Caldas Manizales): is henao better than canizares just because he won the Copa Libratadores?
10 Canizares (Valencia)

12 Lehmann (Arsenal): ...no comment.

14 Valdés (Barcelona) pretty good for Spain's 3rd choice:)

17 Woon-Jae (Suwon Samsung Blue-Wings): is Landon Donovan on the list too? :D

21= Hildebrand (Stuttgart): the future of germany (but don't tell them that..shhh..)

Kameni (Espanyol): best keeper in the world as of right now.
y'know he almost signed for Wolves last season?

Woon-Jae is pretty good actually, I'm not sure he deserves to be that high but he by far not a crap GK.
