I think the boards may be down this weekend, but I thought I would start the thread anyway.

Everybody rested for the second half of the season????????
I would like to think that Bayern can post a few good outings before CL starts up again. Focus!!!!!!!!!

I think Pizarro is questionable for the clash. Anybody want to post some possible starting lineups?

Looks like Pizarro can play, if not then Zickler (!) could be in the lineup (at least thats what Magath said today).
Bayern will be without Ballack (5th yellow card), Guerrero, Görlitz, Santa Cruz and Sagnol. But as long as they find 11 guys wearing a Bayern uniform it should be enough to beat HSV...

Shows what he thinks of Hashemian

Lets be honest...

Zickler has been absent for two years of action. ON his FIRST return to action (for more than 40 minutes that is) he opens his scoring account.

Hashemian has been here since the summer. And he has done what?????

Nuff said.

p.s. Zickler is a bit more versatile... he can play up top, wide or attacking.

HSV that bad??????
When they play Bayern, most definitely YES. Their last win there was in 1982 and the last victory at home was in 1995. Very unlikely that this will change on Friday.

Damnit, I expect some optimism from my opposition ;)

That may be the case, but as a pessimist, I can see Bayern getting lazy with this one.

So I guess you should find yourself a different opposition ;)
A draw and I'd be very happy.

WO HOOO! Finally back to the Bundesliga....Hamburg started out pretty bad but they got better towards the end of the first half of the season so I wouldn't underestimate them. But Bayern should still be able to beat them, they are looking in form and now that Liza is back their weak spot has become a strength.

I wouldn't worry about Pizza not playing, there is still King Roy and the midfield capable of scoring plenty of goals. FSW should show this game, they always show French games that are played on Fridays, damn them! Starting Line ups anyone? I'm gonna give it a shot

Kahn
Kuffour, Kovac, Lucio, Liza
Deisler (Scholl?), Frings, Hargreaves, Ze Roberto
Zickler, Makaay

Zickler is a very quick player and dangerous on counterattack, so i think we should keep him for another 1 or 2 years.
I still remember how good he was when he was nominated as the man of match in 2 or 3  games against Real madrid, AC milan and MU in the centanarian memorial tournament in Madrid. He scored 1 or 2 goals in every single games and was expected to have a successful season but then a terrible injury came and it's 2 years since that day he can kick the ball again. Wish best luck to him.

Hashermian, i reckon, has no chance to stay as he didn't even manage to put a goal in a weak team like Dusseldorf, what can he do  :( .

Bayern has to stay @ the TOP!
It doesn´t really matter who Magath decides to put n the starting lineup, as long as the team gives some good football, we have a very good team!
GO bayern! :D

anybody knows when does Görlitz will be back?

I think you're talking about the tournament that included the four most successful clubs in European Football History: Madrid, Bayern, Milan and Liverpool. It was held in Madrid to celebrate the cent for Madrid. Bayern beat every team and eventually Madrid in the final. I always thought I'm the only one that remembers this tournament, everyone else must have overlooked the fact that Bayern beat those teams and won that tournament.

I hope Zickler plays because he and Roy could work quite well together in my opinion. My starting 11:
Kahn
Kuffour,Demichelis,Lucio,Lizarazu
Deisler/Hargreaves,Frings,Scholl,Ze Roberto
Makaay,Zickler

oh i remember that tournament alright!!!

that was when we were dubbed 'white ballet'!!!
when deisler ballack and ze first joined bayern... (although deisler didnt play)

that was fun, but milan beat us home and away a few months later when it really mattered!!!

anyways, as far as zickler goes, ill always remember him for his performances during the 2-4, 4-1 thrashings of real madrid in the group stage a few years ago... :D

that may well change - im quite nervous about this match and the weekend in particular...

cos if we fail to beat a much-improved hamburg, and schalke beat a very strong bremen, i feel they will gain a huge mental edge over us!!!

anyways - as far as bayerns records vs opponenets go - our record vs leverkusen has been excellent in the past few years, but look at what happened earlier this season!!!

btw... why does nobody have schweini starting alongside frings? is he injured??

id go with...

From Bayern Site (deutsch)

Die voraussichtlichen Aufstellungen:

FC Bayern: Kahn - Salihamidzic, Lucio, Kovac, Lizarazu - Frings - Hargreaves, Zé Roberto - Scholl - Pizarro, Makaay

Hamburger SV: Pieckenhagen - Benjamin, Reinhardt, van Buyten, Klingbeil - Jarolim, Wicky, Trochowski, Barbarez - Mpenza, Takahara

Scorpio--in regards to Schweinsteiger I don't think he is injured. At least I have not seen anything about that. I do remember that he kind of lost his mojo in November and has not figured in since.
