Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium will host a match between a team captained by FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho and one led by the winner of the European award, Andrei Shevchenko, on February 15.

Milan striker Shevchenko's European XI will be coached by Italy coach Marcello Lippi and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger while Barca talisman Ronaldinho's World side will feature Brazil national team coach Carlos Alberto Parreira and Barca manager Frank Rijkaard at the helm.

Italian legend Roberto Baggio is the only retired player invited to play and he will be joined in Shevchenko's European side by the likes of Henry, Gerrard, Beckham, Pavel Nedved, Francesco Totti and Zinedine Zidane.

Ronaldinho will line up with some of the world's best players from outside Europe such as Chelsea's Didier Drogba as well as compatriots Ronaldo and Kaka.

There will be a significant English influence on the World team with the likes of Manchester United's Gabriel Heinze, Bolton's Radhi Jaidi, Leeds' Lucas Radebe, Blackburn's Brett Emerton and Everton's Li Tie invited to take part.

World football's governing body are working with UEFA and the Spanish football federation and Barca, who are providing their fully-staffed stadium free of charge.

The proceeds of the match will be donated to the FIFA/AFC Tsunami Solidarity Fund, which has been set up jointly by FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Wow, this is a great idea. Nice of the players to show they care. Does anyone know if it's confirmed and if it'll be shown on TV?

How nice to see all of them play together... Only wish there were more Arsenal players involved... :)

Hopefully lots of money will be raised.
