It will be tough this game, Palace are fighting for there lives and we have just lost our last game, i'm sure Jol will get them back on track again, i did say we would beat them 3-0 last time and we drew 1-1 so this time i'm going to predict that we will sneak it 2-1 :D

What about you lot?

Palarse caught us out in the first game, they flooded midfield and worked extremely hard to put us under pressure while on the ball, they also exposed us a bit out wide.

It will be a hard game, especially with our very poor record in london derbys and with them being at home and desperate for points. however I do not think Jol and the boys will be caught out a second time and will be motivated to make up for those two dropped points.

Kanout being fit or an understudy for him being signed are very important to give us the easy outlet and to build attacks behind their midfield. hopefully Jol will also give Marney another game on the right for the width.

I'll say 3-1 to us

I would like to see Stephen Kelly in for Pamarot. Hopefully Kanoute will be fit for this game, their is a chance Simon Davies will be fit for this game. He is due back towards the end of January along with Sean Davis.
Expect Routledge to get cheered by the Tottenham supporters before the game starts

having seen Palace already, Martin will make his tactical judgements accordingly, 2-1 Spurs in a scrappy match!!!

Bit of team news: Brown, Atouba and Kanoute are out (along with Davies, Davis, Ricketts, etc.)

I am guessing he will do the following:

Robinson
Pamarot Naybet King Edman
Marney Mendes Carrick Ziegler
Keane Defoe

I like Mendes and Carrick in the middle because they can alternate between who plays the holding role, and who plays supporting the strikers. They both have superb distribution and have the ability to run midfield (and I think Mendes plays with a bit more grit and determination - like Brown does).

Kanoute is a loss and no Mido or whoever for this game now as its too late.

revise my prediction and now reckon it will be decided by a single goal, i'll go for us 1-0, Defoe back in the goals.

Palace are shite. Robbo's not gonna be surprised by Andy Johnson again shooting early from range. 5-0 to spurs!!

I've also realised, that with that formation, if you put Carrick supporting the strikers we have a bit more height there with him and Marney. Hopefully that should help out Keane and Defoe a bit.

I'm going to say 2-0 with Keane & Defoe getting the goals. Robinson will add to his clean sheet total. Its a blow Brown is suspended & with Kanoute still out we lack height but i think we will win the game. Ledley will hopefully keep AJ in his pocket. The main threat would be Routledge up against Edman, he outpaced him so easily at the Lane but Edman is a top defender so i think he would adjust to Routledge's game

Funny post.

Expect Routledge to play well, and fans chanting 'Yiddo', and 'You're Spurs and you know you are!' at him.
We'll win this one. We'll beat them like gongs. Rmort99's 5-0 prediction. I'll go with that.

More a wish then a prediction, but aren't they all -- 2-0 with Defoe and Keano striking gold combined with Charlton and Middlesboro losing...

Also the game is being aired here in the US Sunday but apparently is being played Saturday, is this true? Usually they wouldn't show a Saturday game over here that wasn't showed on Saturday until at least Tuesday or so. If true this is a major inconvenience, because it means I can't get near a football website or my pub until 10am on Sunday, which sorta sucks...

anyways, reguardless, come on your SPURS!

Robinson
Pamarot Naybet King Edman
Marney Mendes Carrick Ziegler
Keane Defoe

This is indeed the starting line-up and I guess the formation too.

Bench: Eyre, Kelly, Gardner, Yeates, Atouba.

Kick-off: Palace start with Johnson and Freedman up front and Routledge pushed on, looks like a 4-3-3.

3mins: Ziegler turn of pace, pass just too far in front of Defoe.

4mins: Boyce to byline down our left, dangerous position but cut ball back behins supporting strikers.

5mins: Defoe free-kick, 22 yards, blocked by wall.

6mins: CHANCE. Bit of luck as Robinson's high kick deflected off referee to Carrick, lovely early pass released Defoe, right channel of area, hit bouncing ball early but off target.

12mins: Freedman great break from our possession, slipped past Mendes tackle on half-way and progressed to area, Carrick made up ground to block cross.

16mins: Granville curled 25-yard free-kick around wall, routine diving save for Robinson low to his right.

19mins: Best move so far, ball popped around at the back, King then lofted into Mendes, then in to Keane who laid back for Marney to volley straight at Kiraly.

20mins: YELLOW. Marney for foul on Granville.

Yeates has come on for Pamarot I think. Marney pushed back to right-back.

EDIT: And Marney gives away a penalty. Bugger. 3-0

EDIT 2: Kelly replaces Marney.
