My lover's gone (Dido)

Before you get ripped for leaving off Arcade Fire, let me just say - I actually prefer the Faithless version, with Dido singing the "My Lover's Gone" hook and Maxi "rapping." Look it up (Faithless, "Postcards") on your favorite online music source.

Shouldn't this be prefaced with Pop crap songs for your iPod?

I necessarily wouldn't consider Maroon 5 as a must have for anything other than throwing up.

To each his own. That's really the point, isn't it? You can't expect a song you like to be a "must have" on an iPod (though I do wonder why a song that's on the radio 5 times a day would be worth the 3.6 MB of your iPod). Sure, there are a lot of people who like Maroon 5 but I assure you there are even more people who think they are utter crap. Such is the nature of pop music.

That said,
"Electric Relaxation" aTCQ
"Waltz #2" Elliott Smith
"Water" The Roots

And continuing my female singer theme from my previous post:
"Feelin' Good" Nina Simone
"Caramel" Suzanne Vega
"Worn Me Down" Rachael Yamagata

First off, I am no babe. Secondly, I agree to each his own...that is the beauty of music. But You title your thread "Must have songs for your ipod"; I feel it is misleading to not go the extra step and an important adjective like pop, cheesey, top 40, crappy....I mean you proved my point by adding Foreigner to your list. Next you will be adding Steve Perry, Van Hagar, and "Dust In the Wind". Your "must-have" songs only apply to Casey Casem fans......

That's enough Steve Perry bashing from you. It will be a cold day in hell when a songwriter comes up with anything that comes close to the brilliance of "Oh Sherry". Shame on you.

I don't usually say this to someone who's "no babe", but here it goes, "you've read my mind." My next three are...................................... nah, not really.

And hey Skippo what's the deal? What point? If I was talking about 1 must-have song maybe we could duel it out, but I'm talking about 1000 songs to fill up the Pod bro. Everybody likes something so everybody can come up with something for this thread, if they wish, something that he thinks cool and other people can pick and choose from. Must-have is all in the eyes of the beholder. Hence, to each his own. Now if you want to get technical about it and ask me to back up a point with facts and numbers, go start another thread and I'll send that Gunner Phan chick over to duel it out with you. She's no babe though let me warn you beforehand. At least that's what she said.

Now, back to the threes.............

I was wondering how long it would take for a sting song to show up. Any IPod has to have at least 2 songs by the police on it. Seeing as the whole point of an Ipod being mobile, Man in a Suitcase should be included as well.
