So i'm watching the NFL playoff game on Fox, and they said tomorrow (1/16) on FOX, they have an all new hour of Family Guy. 9 PM Eastern.
I thought the series was cancelled?

No they brought it back. But they kept pushing the date back.
I actually gave up waiting for it a while ago and just decided to get a "nice surprise" when it returns. Looks like tommorrow is they day?

i heard from people that it would be on after the superbowl. im pretty happy it'll be on sooner though

I just looked on TVguide.com and they have two repeats listed. I checked the episode descriptions and they are both first season episodes.

It's not till May people. They're showing Seth's new series American Dad after the Super Bowl.

If today's episodes were new, there would be a big to-do about it. I have, however, heard a rumor that a direct to dvd Family Guy movie could be out in the spring.

Ah right. I think they said everything was new, with "a full hour" of Family Guy at 9 PM. I probably just assumed that F.G. was new as well. Either way, great to hear that it's coming back, just we all wish it was sooner.

LOS ANGELES (AP)--Fox says it covered up the naked rear end of a cartoon
character recently because of nervousness over what the Federal Communications Commission will find objectionable.
The latest example of TV network self-censorship because of FCC concerns came a few weeks ago during a rerun of a "Family Guy" cartoon. Fox electronically blurred a character's posterior, even though the image was seen five years ago when the episode originally aired.
