Chivas USA will consist of U.S. players, Mexican, and Central and South American players. I dont know why so many people are talking smack. This team will be the most popular team in the MLS!!!! Is there a pic of the uniforms you saw or is that info from a description you read or heard?
In other words, what is the source of this onslaught of info? :)

Chivas will be America('s) team??? Is Vergara actually selling to America??? Just throw in the towel now if you give in that easy to your Mexican rival, you don't stand a chance in the MLS. ;)

I bet if instead of Chivas USA the team was called Manchester USA with several Euro players, Euro ownership they would be recived with open arms....but oh no, you have a team with a Mexican owner, Latin players, and everyone has a cow. I dont understand. I would not have any problem if Manchester United, AC Milan, Arsenal or any other Euro team wanted to have a team in the MLS. Remember its CHIVAS UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

The difference is Man U or Real in their euro teams sign players of all different nationalities...and if they had a team here and didn't have to go by the same rules other mls teams do then i do think people would be as upset if not more than they are now.
Chivas on the other hand have the tradition of signing only mex players on their mexican team, and want to sign a vast majority of latin american players on their team. If they will give other non-latin mls players a fair shake then i won't mind so much. But that is not what i have heard their intention is

Funny thing is I have heard that MLS has said Chivas must follow the same rules as the other MLS teams.

I agree. I don't mind lots of great Central and South American players on Chivas USA, BUT I thought each MLS side had to adhere to certain non-USA player restrictions? Plus considering how emotionally charged Americans get about race issues, making a team for Mexicans in the USA is not good. Is LA Galaxy the non-Mexican club then or the "white" club???
I hope Chivas creates a great derby, but just worried about the MLS and cultural problems that MIGHT pop up.

Well ChivasUSA is going to adhere to the same rules as the other MLS teams so what is the problem?

Chivas USA will NOT I repeat NOT and once again I repeat NOT be all Mexican. Does that make it better for some of you???? There will be Mexicans and Mexican/Americans on the team but Chivas USA will have players from all races and countries. I truly believe that the problem some people have with Chivas USA is that it is owned and operated by Mexican owners, most fans are Mexican, and the team itself is a extension of Chivas del Guadalajara a Mexican team. By the way....I read today in the paper that one of the coaching candidates for Chivas USA is Steve Sampson.

Its kinda funny that the so many Americans talk smack about Chivas...the most patriotic team in the country (so what if the owners are Mexican)...even the uniforms look like the American flag. If you bash Chivas then you bash this great country GO CHIVAS UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
