Nothing like assigning arbitrary value to something that can't be quantified. As a debate starter though, it can be good fun.

Is this a recently remade list different from the one they published at the end of '99?

ANy signs of Loveless or Pet Sounds? I guarnatee the Joshua is not better than either of those, or War for that matter.

I'm a huge U2 fan, and there is no way in hell that the Joshua Tree deserves to be in the top 5. I can think of at least 20 better albums (all time) right now.

Nevermind at #2? Seriously? I mean it really helped define the 90s music sound, and is definitely top ten, but I just don't think you can put it at #2 because of the grunge influence (which is overblown nowadays anyway).

Rolling Stone has always loved U2. They're my favorite band, but yeah I don't know if the Joshua Tree would be that high on many people's lists. Probably top ten again. Let us know when you find the rest of the list.

I agree with nicodemus in that these lists don't seem to have much point except to act as argument starters.
