View Full Version : pvan4's music collection
Everybody else is doing it. Why not me? My collection will not be anywhere as massive or as eclectic as Nico's but then he was always a freak. I am terrible at describing music in words so I may just post the cd cover or a small blip from somebody that gets paid to write about music. Music for me is about feeling. I am not a lyrics person in the slightest. Enjoy.

I don't normally listen to classical music and I don't really listen to this very often but I particularly like Diamond World. I've also hung out with these ladies. Very easy on the eyes, especially Angela.

I can offer no insight into this kinda music. Nico introduced it to me and for that I am thankful. Great for listening to late at night.

local B'ham band I saw once live. Kinda Brit pop-ish. Just a 5 song EP. Nothing to write home about.

one of the few remnants of heavy music left in my collection. Reminds me of the good old days of Saturday nights with Nico and MTV Headbangers Ball.

One of my favorite artists was somebody I discovered totally by accident. I was flipping channels one night and surfed across some pre-Music Midtown concert on TBS and saw this bald dude with a girls name. I'm not usually into the singer/songwriter thing but I love me some Angie. Currently, he has a band(The Infidels) and is doing more of a rock band thang. A description from his website:
It has been said once that the best description of Angie Aparo is: If Neil Young had sex with Jeff Buckley, and their offspring had sex with you.

"Stormy Monday" from this album is one of my favorite blues performances ever.

Champagne Supernova
Rocket Man

easily his best album. Many will know the song "Cry" as it was covered and made popular by Faith Hill. At one of his last concerts he mentioned that she will be covering another song on her next cd.
Standout tracks: Spaceship, Wonderland, The American

Fiona Apple -- Tidal
I'm not usually a big fan of female artists. However, I really like her voice and most of these songs.

ex-lead singer of The Verve. Not much of a difference between the two.
