Janu's favorite sports teams:

Italy and Brazil's soccer teams, women's beach volleyball

And she's a Las Vegas showgirl.

Can we talk about the potential twists?

they said they game would change in the first 10 minutes and wipe out everything they thought they knew about survivor. I wonder if probst will make them land on the beach and then have each tribe immediately vote somebody off before they do anything else.

No teams.

Maybe in Alaska? I think a cold weather survivor would throw the series for a good twist.

I always say "I'm not going to watch another of those shows" and I've seen them all.
Really got put off by the freeking, stupid, ugly spud of a fuctioning moron that won last time out. Survival of the dumbest! The smartest are voted off first. Wouldn't want someone who can think as your opponent, would you?

Pelau looks cool!

I think I saw a commercial for this season where it implied that the survivors aren't going to get any help whatsoever. I'm skeptical though. I doubt they'll let them go without fire for very long. The last thing Burnett wants is to kill off his cash cow with a few contestants vomiting/convulsing from some water-born tropical bacteria for 40 days.

Geeze if she could get through all that stuff in her life, winning Survivor should be a cinch.

Death or death-threating diseases is a good ratings booster. :)

Like learning to light a fire or finding a place the cameras can't go, in case you get lucky for a quickie with one of the girls.
40 days is a long time

people always say the practice making fire. it ain't easy to do.

did you guys happen to read the story in Entertainment Weekly? Probst ranked every season from best to worst. Anyway, he said people have tried to sneak things in their butts before. So not only are people putting stuff up there, it's somebody's job to look. ewwww.

from today's imdb.com:

'Survivor' Makes Changes To Survive

Following complaints that the last Survivor series, Survivor: Vanuatu, lacked the excitement and off-beat players that distinguished the earlier series, the producers of the series decided to make the new series "as different from Vanuatu as you can get," host Jeff Probst told Sunday's Orlando Sentinel. In the first episode of the new series, Survivor: Palau, set to debut on Thursday, three players are sent packing. "It sends a shock through the game," Probst told the newspaper. "The whole key to keeping the show successful is keeping the survivors off-base." The show, he said, was filmed amid the wreckage of World War II planes and ships. "The wrecks are spectacular and completely eerie," Probst told the Sentinel. "Survivor is so hard on people. You do it in a place where there are remnants of real battle, it upped the stakes emotionally."

The only dry or close to dry tinder we had was our shorts shredded into cotton balls. The old shoe lace and a bow routeen...It worked though. I've never seen a survivor try it yet.

Loved that link of Probst's. I'll leave it up for my wife later
