Just incase nobody watched the finals of the Interliga in Houston, the commentators more than once, mentioned the rumors of Club America being very close to creating Club America USA in Houston. They kept referring to secret negotiations under way.

patience texan hopeful, soon enough you'll get your wish, Just hope you like a team from mexico, because that's what you're getting.

If Club America USA in Houston is indeed created (as opposed to being a relocated team), then it's all good.

Perhaps Mr. Hunt has found a buyer.

I like the idea of Chivas USA, but it think it works because it's already in a city that has a US club team (the gals). I’d think just have a Mexican team for Mexican fans would alienate soccer fans who don't have some time of Mexican connection.

America is Not Chivas. They have a philosophical difference when it comes to......well, EVERYTHING.

i don't get the impression that many Mexican soccer fans like Club America in the slightest, and i've heard that some major Mexican TV station doesn't even cover their news.

Club America has its biggest fan base in Houston, of all the cities in the U.S. So it is logical that they would build a team here. America is also the most loved/hated team in Mexico along with Chivas. Families are divided over their support for either team. Along with that America is owned by Televisa, and as such its rival Tv Azteca, does not give its enemy free publicity. It would be like ABC owning the Cowboys, and CBS or FOX giving little to no coverage to their arch rivals.

But back to the question at hand. CD America USA bring it on, we are ready!!!!!!!

rumours are fun... maybe this will work out and they can play in the new HISD Soccer/Football Stadium gigante...without the football yardlines for soccer!

Perhaps Mr. Hunt has found a buyer.

Actually, he's got two seperate groups in KC that have been vetted by the league as having the resources to own and operate an MLS team. There's also three proposed soccer complex sites in play that would contain a publicly funded stadium for the Wizards. Things are actually looking very good in Kansas City. Has SSV found anyone since the Tony Amanpour debacle? I would hate to see the Quakes leave the Bay area.

I'd like to see Houston get an expansion team.

Compared to San Antonio, how are things lining up for a Club America Tejas? ;)

houston aguilas

"Houston Eagles" would be even better, as it would still mean "Aguilas" yet it would be a name more Americans would understand.

It would be the best of both worlds.

to me houston eagles sounds way too american, sounds like an nfl or nba team. i think that by keeping the aguilas instead of eagles it will be the best of both worlds, tradition city/nickname for the americans plus spanish to appeal to the spanish-speaking fans.

Sorry, I don't use winkie, smilie,...........whatever the hell, icons. It's like laughing at your own jokes - bad form.

Still, "Real FC America USA United"? Should have been obvious.
