Well, from what I've read, Madrid has no interest in getting rid of Beckham, simply becuase he is such a marketing draw. Which would probably be the only reason that Chelsea would really want him, anyway.

Is there any subject that posh won't rattle on about, (unlike me of course :D), but I do hope that RA buys him and sven... as a gift for the spurs. :p

Thankfully with JM as manager he will never, ever, ever get a chance to dishonor the Blue.

Sad to say (and it really is sad from any Englishmans point of view), a mere 2 years ago it would have been looked upon as a great signing!

Today though, i completely agree with you.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.....

However I don't want him because I think tactically he is a poor fit for Chelsea.

i guess when you're ten points clear at the top you don't need anyone else, so you can slag off any player at any other club.

but i suspect that beckham would still be a force in the english game. and as much as i hate beckham's publicity machine, and his babbling wife, the fact is that his workrate and clubhouse demeanor have always been exemplary. as long as folks in bucharest keep walking around in mutu chelsea shirts (and some of them still do), i wouldn't consider david beckham the greatest threat to the 'honor of the blue'.

No, anyone anywhere can slag off any player at any team any time, o.k.?

work hard in rataliatory tackles vs. Wales, works hard to NOT contribute for Real Madrid.

actually, i didn't mean that to be as shytty as it was apparently interpreted. my only point was that beckham, for all the extracurricular hype, is hardly as worthless or shameful as portrayed.

no big deal. carry on.

fair enuff.

though at this point i think Becks wether he stays w/ Madrid goes back to man-u or goes somewhere else has a lot to prove.

worthless? shameless? no. but mediocre over the past 1 1/2 seasons?. yes.

agreed.

the same thing can be said about zidane and raul. which of the three do you think most determined to do so?

madridistas complain because beckham is always running around, with no apparent direction. well, unlike the 'other' prima donnas at the bernabeu, at least he's running.

they all look bad right now because the team is playing poorly. but if i found out spurs were going to sign one of those three tomorrow (ha!), i would be hoping that it was beckham. to have said this a year ago would have been utterly unthinkable.

hehe, one of Becks nicknames in Spain is "Forest Gump" because
he mindlessly runs around:)

anyways i think Lux at Madrid will do all he can to clean out the club, "retiring" older players & bringing in the "new generation of superstars". aha.

not so much that, its just that becks is literally my least favorite player. the bottom of the list, the scum on me boots...you get the picture. Anyway I don't know what you're on about, becks only works hard when the cameras are on him at the airport. He certainly doesn't work hard when he's playing for england...plus I've always heard, albeit from now particularly valid source, that he's a prick in the dressing room. there...I feel better now that I have said at least one bad thing about becks today.
But adri's right, if he goes anywhere he is going to have to spend the next two years making up for the last two years.
