I, like you, the concerned US soccer fan, want to see the US's best play on February 9th. Right now, there is really a danger that US Soccer would field a very weak side. I'm not saying who's right and who's wrong, but it's in both of their interests to have the good guys play, because each side wants to get to the World Cup.

Let's introduce a third party in the discussions - we, the annoyed US supporters who would like to go and watch the US in Germany. Right now I propose we hold Mark Rubinstein, the head of the players association, and Bob Contiguglia, responsible. I believe we should petition them into oblivion.

Even after all of this is resolved, I'm still left wondering if I'd even cross the street to watch them play. That doesn't mean that I'm convinced that one side or the other is right or wrong. It's just that the bitterness is such that I'd have to admit to be looking for something else to do here on Cape Cod the next time Our Boys lace them up against Barbados in Foxboro.

Being serious her for a second.

I am pissed at how the USSF/PA have turned us all on each other. While we have always debated who should start, get called up... This is a new low for me on these boards. To many of us are taking this personnal. While we may agree with one side or the other, let's all remember that we are on the same side here. We wan't to quailify for 2006, and maybe someday win a WC.

End of my "was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor" speach.

Agree with the sentiment, but people are getting distracted by the delivery so let's continue the discussion on one of the other threads. Thanks.
