Thanks, indeed! Since I am already a Sports Pack subscriber, this is a gift. Costs me nothing extra. I'll be counting down the days just like I used to at Christmastime. Absolutely fantastic news.

Only slight concern is that the goltv.tv website has no confirmation of this, nor does directv.com. DirecTV is notorious, though, for never announcing any future plans in advance.

In my technological ignorance, perhaps someone can help me out. This news has prompted me to consider getting DirecTV, but I have no idea how it works. Is it possible to order only the so-called premium sports package, with nothing else, and pay only $12.99/month, or must I order the original package and then add the sports package onto that fee?

The latter, unfortunately, so it will cost you about $50/month to get everything you need.
