Maybe the Portland folks will sing something besides club songs and wear club colours to the match.

How convenient you don't have pictures of the Honduras match at Safeco. And what's up with the Syria flag?

The U.S. will open Group B play against Cuba on Thursday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m. PT at Qwest Field in Seattle, before meeting Canada two days later on Saturday, July 9 at the same venue, the match slated for a 1:30 p.m. PT kickoff

Nice job covering the American flag...
It would be nice if the T.A. and the E.C.S. could come together just once for this Gold Cup event.

Agreed. Country over club. You are all Sam's Army when the US plays.

Please don't get outnumbered by Canadians. That's all I ask. :)

That would be tougher than selling out the Rose Bowl for a friendly versus Grenada.

What's up with you being such a tw*t. At least they are willing to travel 3-4 hrs to see the game.

Any suggestions on where to stay for out of towners? I'm assuming around Pioneer Square would be good for walking to the Stadium and plenty of Bars and Restaurants.
Thanks,

Things downtown tend to be expensive, as in over $100/night.
What's nice is that Metro Transit (http://transit.metrokc.gov) has a ride-free zone (http://transit.metrokc.gov/tops/bus/ridefree.html) in the downtown area. You might want to get north of downtown at the edge of the ride-free zone, for some less-expensive lodging. The stadium is just a little south of the ride-free zone.
There's a Best Western in Pioneer Square (http://www.pioneersquare.com/), right next to Pioneer Square Saloon, but to my knowledge, there's not a lot else within walking distance to the stadium.

It's nice the USA will be in Seattle again, but Cuba and Canada? Not much better than the fantastic Venezuela match. I would have much rather seen a qualifier than these two patsies. I'm guessing around 15,000 or less a match.

Myabe 30, 000 Canadians will drive down for the game? That would be cool.

I wont be surprised to see a sizeable Canadian attendance at these games.

We outnumber Canadian fans in games played against them in CANADA! Canada can't draw flies. Whatever the total attendance it'll be a heavily USA partisan crowd.

Oh great, now we have to worry about being outdrawn by CANADIANS in a US soccer venue! :)

Sorry to bring up an old thread. But I'm moving to Portland next month for school. I want to go to the games in Seattle, but im going to portland w/o a car. Is there some kind of public transportation to get to Seattle? Any help is appreciated.
