I heard a rumour Wayne Routledge would be a Spurs player either in this transfer window or by the summer. Any of you heard anything about it?

go to the january transfer stories thread theirs alot in their about it.Simon Jordan, the Palace chairman is well pissed off with him for rejecting their contract offer. He may try to flog him but even if they keep him until the end of the season they will still get money for him. I think it would be best for Palace if they kept him because their chances of staying up would of course be increased but Simon Jordan doesnt think like that, Routledge has upset him so he is likely to sell him.

Its a great chance to sign him now as Palace now that he dosn't want a new contract there and are going to have to cash in but the matter of fact is when will they cash in? they could just say "lets get rid of him now, if he dosn't want to sign a new contract then he don't want to play for us" or they could say "he dosn't want a new contract but we got to keep him to the end of the season to help our chances of staying in the premier league"

i saw Routledge pre season and i thought he looked really good, we need a winger and hopefully we will sign him, signing in the january tranfer window would be great but signing him in the summer would be good to :)

Looking closer and closer since he rejected the contract and his agent fell out with the chairman of Palace.

Haha stabbing in the back my arse.

Ok, if they'd rather, he'll stay until his contract runs out in the summer and then leave on a free transfer.

For all their moaning and groaning at least they'll get a few million out of him now. And anyway, he's said he wants to leave because he wants a new challenge etc. etc. I think that's a bloody good reason. I don't think he's going to improve much more at Palace. He needs a new coach, a new environment and a new team to help him learn even more.

I'd like to see him grow a bit more first of that's ok. I mean, how many midgets can a team get away with?
