"Arsenal will be champions again," he told The Sun. "During a season every team has good and bad moments and we have experienced a poor patch already.

"We are climbing now and I think Chelsea and Manchester United will crumble.

"They will both have bad moments from which we will benefit.

"They will not end up top and will finish up feeling very bad."

Its going to be difficult, but I think we can still win it. Its going to come down to the wire, and we plan to be there every step of the way.

You never piss off the other teams by guaranteeing victory. Hell, even "arrogant" Mourinho hasn't gone THAT far.

He's gotta say that! Mind games now because that's all they have. Personally I think our run of bad form ended in 12 points out of 12 over the Festive period. We were 20% down on performances compared to the majority of the season.

But he did not include in the interview the statement "I love English football" so it is obvious to me that someone is altering his statements.
Sorry guys could not resist. Jose is interviewed on the Arsenal Untouchables DVD and he says that at least 10 times! It was comical.

And CFCinDC-he scored in the Stoke City game-so obviously his break in form and injuries are over! ;)

He doesn't have to say that. There are better ways of saying that "I think we can win". He didn't pick one.
And when Jose Reyes is resorting to mind games, you KNOW you're at the bottom of the barrel in terms of ideas. What's next, witticisms from Sol Campbell?

Perhaps I never phrased it correctly!

My point is, all they can do now is try to put us off course by taking verbal swipes at us. Various statements from the United and Arsenal camps seem to be coming out everyday and you feel this is the only way they feel they can get at us. We're at the top and 7 points clear and every attempt will be taken to knock us off our stride. Jose will know how to deal with it and have the players focused every game that comes along.

Of course Reyes feels they can still do it and shouldn't be in football if he felt otherwise.

Oh sure - I don't think this is a big deal at all. Arsenal have to hope for us to slip up, since winning isn't enough for them anymore. Even if we lose to both them and United we'd STILL be a point up, and Arsenal have their own game with United still to come. If they lose that one, and are 10 points back when we play them...............
