It's a brave step but I think it's the right one.

OK we only paid £500k for him but Pardew knows that out of the £3Mill he might be lucky and be given £1Mill to spend on a replacement, he knows as well as we all do that he wouldn't get anyone of quality for that money.

If Zamora was hitting the target and Teddy was a few years younger I'd say take the money but Harewood is our only regular source of goals at the moment and it would be just plain silly to let him go for that sort of money.

This is great news on two fronts:

1. We have a player that is that highly rated

2. We haven't sold him

I see that the normal caveat was attached to the refusal i.e. "we will only accept silly bids...", so I'm not holding my breath, also I think there may well be bids for NRC in the very near future.
