Follow the trials and travails of Flava Flav's and Brigitte Nielsen's continuing relationship (first seen on The Surreal Life 3 (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136547)) on VH1 (read more about it here (http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/strange_love/88618/episode.jhtml)).
I'm not sure whether this is a one-shot episode or the first of a series of episodes, though. In any case, it first airs tonight (Sunday, 1/9/05).

Oops, it's not a "sequel"... it's a "spinoff".
Sorry about the confusion. :(

They used a Bloc Party song in the ad for it but I'm still not going to watch it.

It seems like it's gonna be a series of episodes after all.

Can't believe these haven't been posted yet.
Not one, but TWO New York Times articles on the -- dare I say it -- hottest Flav-on-Dane action ever.
Flouting Convention, Embracing Eccentricity (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/08/arts/television/08surr.html)
Can This Hookup Survive? (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/09/fashion/09FLAV.html)
How can a love like this . . .

. . . be denied?

Sylvester Stallone and Mark Gastineau are probably laughing their asses off.

In this week's episode, Brigitte brought a "manners coach" to teach Flava manners, Flava bought an Italian suit, Briggite got pissed off at her fiance for having her clothes delivered to her in a ripped paper bag, and Brigitte and Flava went clubbing, slapping each other at the end.
Next week's episode will show Flava meeting Brigette's friends at a formal dinner party.

I have a friend who saw some of this being filmed in Vegas and he swears it was staged. When the cameras weren't rolling, he said they barely even looked at each other.

Your friend could be right, considering that in the first episode there just happened to be a camera in Brigitte's apartment in Milan showing her and her Italian fiancee kissing and stuff before she got "surprised" by Flava's unannounced visit.
It's still pretty fun to watch, though. :D

Apparently Bridgette was also on one of the Big Brother shows in the UK.

She's having quite a resurgence in the public eye lately.

In this week's episode, Brigitte takes Flava to a ball where all her "friends" were there to greet them. Let's just say that they were shocked, even though they tried holding it in.
One of the funniest parts was when Flava Flav was sort of grooving (waving about to his own tune) at the table, the Italian lady sitting to his right finally asked in Italian "How old are you?" Flava's translator translated the question, to which Flava showed four fingers on each hand and said "44".
"44?!? He's acting like he's 13!" came the lady's response in Italian, to which the translator told Flava that she said he looks 13. "Thank you, thank you... I try," came a suprisingly sincere response from Flava. When the translator told the Italian lady that Flava took it as a compliment, she bowed her head and burst into laughter (in disbelief). :D
All in all, Brigitte didn't appreciate the way they all didn't fully accept her and Flava together.
It seems that in next week's episode, Brigitte tells Flava that she misses her Italian fiancee, which appears to cause some sparks.

I like how she said at one point she was disgusted by her friends reactions and chalked it up to racism. Uh, maybe they just weren't expecting to have a formal dinner with two complete morons playing it up for the camera. This show actually tops "Growing up Gotti" as the fakest reality show.

I noticed that too. Also, I wonder how the guests reacted to having cameras there? :D

In this week's episode, Brigitte and Flava shared a jacuzzi and accidently broke a glass of wine (the female maid who was sent in to clean up the mess was kinda cute :) ), stomped on some grapes at a winery, argued some, and in the end Brigitte finally decided to go to New York with Flava.
The preview for next week's episode showed Brigitte's kids finally meeting Flava (with looks of "WTF?" on their faces at Flava's antics :D ), and her later returning to her apartment to break the news to her fiancee.

If he wants his sugar mama to keep paying his rent he'll let her do whatever she wants.
