What does the Toon Army think of your recent signings thus far? I doubt you'll ever love Babayaro but he's a decent squad player. Plus he's not a complainer. (Unlike Mel's favorite player, Craig Bellamy)

As for Boumsong, I really don't know anything about him so I am interested to see what you guys think so far.

I didn't see the game today, but Souness was very complimentary of them afterwards. I think both of them should fit into the team pretty well. Babayaro may not be spectacular, but he should be good enough. I was impressed with Boumsong the few times I saw him play for Auxerre. Souness seems pretty high on him as well. He even went as far as to say that he could be a future Newcastle captain.

Hopefully, they can help turn the screws on our leaky defense, and we can make a run at a European spot during this second half of the season.

I'm really looking forword to the second half of the season. I think Souness has sorted the defence out. 1 more signing and its rock and roll for HMS magpie.

I believe one more center back and a forward would top of these signings.....I would settle for Sammy Kuffour and a decent striker.

I really am not that bothered. I'm just pleased that we have got help for Officer Bramble. Honestly. That guy hasnt got a clue when it comes to defending. Boumsong will be like. Fcuk off. Let the professionals take over now sunshine. Nice try. See ya.

The club should send Bumble to Southend or Carlisle in exchange for a couple cases of Broon.
