what do you think is the most beatiful aspect of the beatiful game? For me it is a dribbler in full motion destroying a team.. What about you? ;)

a direct winger. so someone who is fast, agile, aggressive, a good dribbler, and a good crosser.

robben is the best current example for me.

overmars was my favorite.

I agree with astabooty.

And i would add any fast rush upfield after capturing the ball.

Me too.

With the exception of a player going 1-one-1 with the keeper, the roar of anticipation in a stadium is always the biggest whenever a winger or attacking back skips past his man and goes for the cross......

a perfect through pass: on the ground, slight bend, to someone who doesn't have to break stride to get the ball and do something usefull.

A dynamic Libero,no. 6, CM that goes fast 30 or 40 meters through the midfield with the ball at his feet, tempo dribbling over 2 or 3 opponents, then hammering a wide shot, or playing give and go and scoring or playing a deadly through pass to a striker.

Examples:

Loddar 1990 (realplayer) (rtsp://ras01.wdr.de/sportschau/tdm/1990_06.rm)

Netzer - Müller - Netzer (realplayer) (rtsp://ras01.wdr.de/sportschau/tdm/1972_11.rm)

some of the classic ´66 Beckenbaur goals (http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/de/p/cp/frg/beckenbauer.html#)

I agree, by far the play I most admire in the game. When you see a play the splits a defense open-art. For this reason alone, it's been wondeful to watch Bergkamp these last few years. He's on another level.

What I enjoy more is when it's done with a quick one-touch. This goal from last years Cl league match-look at the touch Eidur Gudjohnsen shows setting up Lampard.

Another nice one-touch is this by Chris Armas-bang, off the side of the foot, hitting Dipsy right in stride.

To me, team goals involving the movement of 2 or more players in buildup followed by some kind of volley is more difficult than a individual run goal
which happens quite frequently on a pitch:

is what I call an "ideal" illustration of the beautiful game.

a goal that even if the defence and the goalie had done everything right, it still would have hit the net

e.g. petit 2nd goal vs russia in WCQ. absobloodylutely unstoppable

It's gotta be either the way Guardiola used to pass or how Pirlo passes. Not particularly those two players, but the way the pass or passed
