Hopefully Kanoute will be back for the game. We cant play Keane & Defoe together against Chelsea.

will we go for a 4-3-3?
Robinson
Pamarot ,King, Naybet, Edman
Mendes, Carrick, Zeigler
Keane, Defoe, Kanoute

Or something like that?

We have a big problem in terms of injuries to key players, quite a few of them are struggling a bit. We'll need the spine of Robbo, Ledley, Carrick and Kanoute to all be at 100%, they are vital. Defoe and Naybet would also be big plusses to have in peak condition.

If the key people are fully fit and play well then we've got a very good chance of a positive result. As it is, it will be a tough game as they've spent such vast sums on their squad and we have such an inexperienced team.

Once we get past this match we have a run of 7 winnable games to keep up our push for Europe.

I see this as being a very good game. Both spurs and chelsea look awesome at the moment. I am agniast a 4-3-3 beucase a 4-4-2 has worked for us this year. I always like having the option of having either keane, kanoute or defoe come off the bench. Plus, theres only one Dean Marney too

I think we may go with a Mendes-Brown-Carrick-Ziegler midfield with Keane on the bench. I think it is going to be a tight game maybe a 1 goal difference, both defenses are solid.

if keane is on the bench and the game is tied i say sub robbie in for brown and but robbie in for support striker

Chelsea havn't lost since september so they're bound to lose sometime

That was a popular line leveled against us last season. I dont see any reason why Chelsea can't go the rest of the league unbeaten. Its not outside the realms of possibilty. That said, I hope you trounce em, for obvious reasons :)

Dunno about this, usually it means automatic defeat regardless of how well we play. Remember Hasselbaink kicking his own leg in the penalty area and getting a penalty? Yeah, well that's the sort of thing that happens.

Confident about it though, because as it means a loss anything else will be a bonus. Won't be disappointed if we lose though :S

I would be gutted if we lost this game, its not fun leaving the ground after a defeat against Chelsea & we have had a few of them at our ground. At least Hasselbaink is not their anymore, he always scored against us.

Chelsea have only started playing really well since Robben got on the scene. Before that they were dull and one-dimensional. Once Pamarot kicks him up in the air a few times he'll be crapping himself.

Get the ball to Defoe on the ground and he can run through John Terry's legs who probably won't even see him.

Carrick will take the piss out of Lampard for being fat and he'll get upset and go back to his useless West Ham days.

Drogba should be fighting a civil war, not playing in the premiership. Hopefully Ledley will make him re-think his career choice.

And let's not forget that teams with big-headed managers have tended to do rather well this year, and Jol's head is even bigger than that c*nt, what's he called again?

I think attacking them will be a good idea, They have Duff and Robben on there flanks now and defending against them would be asking for trouble, we're lucky to get a draw and attacking them this will give us more of a chance to get a better result.

This is going to be our hardest game this season by far.
I'd take a draw. Or at least, for the ball to cross the line past Cech, and him scoop it out thus granting us a 'moral' victory.

As long as the players, particularly the younger ones, don't pay Chelscum too much respect and stand off them, and we play our own game, we might scrape it.

Another prediction, we'll have a defender sent off and a penalty conceded. And Keano will actually nick a goal at the death with his noggin.

Keep working those miracles Jol!

a point would be a bonus, as has been stated we have a good run of fixtures coming up after this match. I second the tactic of Pamarot knocking the crap out of Robben, Mr. Robinson is up to the task of any Chelsea free kick!!!
As long as we play our game we will do well. Fluid passing and lots of possession is key. If we sit deep and let them run at us all game we will be beat, although i don't expect Jol will set us up to play like that.

i think we'll score first. chelsea will score a classy equalizer and then a very dodgy second. then somewhere in the 76th-88th minute defoe will score what will win goal of the year, an incredible piece of skill getting around two defenders on the left sideline slaloming in to the corner of the box and rocketing a shot in to the upper right hand corner.

so it has been spoken and so it shall be done

So a repeat of his goal against Arsenal :)

Hopefully a winner instead of an equaliser

I just heard Jol say, "I was as sick as a parrot!" on ITV London Soccer Night! The only person I've ever heard saying that are Harry Enfield in comedy mode, and Ron Manager.

Oh yeah, Spurs V. Chelsea thread..um. Jol also said that Robben is 'Better than excellent.'

And we're gonna play 4-4-2. We would've against ManUre, but we only had 1 fit striker.
