Mr. Uli Hoeness, Deputy Chairman, Bayern Munich, said Dubai had all the ingredients needed for a successful and enjoyable football training camp.

“The last winter’s training session turned out to be a highly exciting experience for us all. The ground conditions and the atmosphere were perfect for training,” said Hoeness.

“We would like to commend the high standards maintained by Dubai Police Officers’ Club and thank them for their hospitality. At the same time, we are also grateful for Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing and Alpha tours for planning an itinerary that will help us to unwind after we go through the rigorous training sessions,” he added.

Mr. Michael Ballack, Bayern Munich’s star midfielder, said he and his colleagues felt thoroughly at home in Dubai, and thanked the officials and the people of Dubai for the warm welcome.

“The fact that we are back in Dubai for the second consecutive year speaks volumes about Dubai’s position as a world-class sports and leisure destination,” said Ballack.

“All the Bayern Munich players are amazed at the training facilities available here. They are looking forward to yet another fruitful training camp that will enable us to go back to the football field with more polished skills and a relaxed frame of mind.”

Cologne 0 Bayern 1

Zickler is finally back  , he scored the winning goal for bayern. Look like BM are still not on form yet. Ballack didn't even start on the bench  , what's going on here.

By the way, i thought the opponent was PSV, don't know when they changed it.

Bayern Munich will be in Form soon. This was only a Testig-Match. So nearly everybody played. Ballack will be fit soon, but i don't know what he has. Bayern had much chances. I have no worries.

Emirates airline (cheap but top quality airline btw.) offered Bayern a sponsor contract during FCB's stay in Dubai (headquarter and hub of Emirates). Hoeneß rejected as they seem quite happy with their current Lufthansa deal.

Emirates is Chelsea's sponsor but will move to Arsenal and be name patron of Ashburton Grove stadium.

Thougt you guys might be interested in these news....
