I was listening to 93.9 this morning (gotta love the "straight from the streetz" sports report) and the newsperson mentioned a stadium going up in SE with FieldTurf. The facility will be for soccer, football and band shows. Anyone else hear about this? It kinda took me by surprise.

NFL, Redskins to Help Fund Youth Field
The NFL and the Washington Redskins announced plans yesterday to spend $200,000 to replace a grassy area in the Benning Terrace neighborhood with a synthetic turf field where youths can play football, soccer and lacrosse.
