In the Mirror today (in the article about Davenport and Redknapp) they mentioned if Southampton pay up the £1.7m Spurs paid for him, they can have Pamarot.
Any truth to this? I guess we have Kelly and Ifill who can fill in.

A few weeks ago I did hear that he was one of those whose futures were being considered by Frank and Jol. He is said to be the only signing made by Santini and not Frank, done to appease him after Carr had to be sold.
Physically he's very strong and has become a lot more solid in the past few weeks. But he does lack mobility and has no real skill or sufficient attacking quality on the ball. He does admit to preferring centre back as well.
I suspect there is truth to this. Telling that it's Pamarot saying to Sky Sports that he's not interested and not the club saying its false on the official website.
We do have Kelly who is ready for the first team, and Ifil who is not far away. I did hear though that the club was interested in Glen Johnson of Chelsea. He is not a regular for them, has had a few games this season and looked a bit raw.

I dont think their is much truth to that, but as Sendo says we do have Stephen Kelly & Phil Ifil so we can sell him as we have 2 good replacements

No real skill? Great, just what Saints need. He'll fit in right now with McCann, Telfer, Delap, ... ... ...

I saw his reaction and it did make me laugh "I don't want to go to Southampton". Can't get more blunt than that.
It is interested that it's Pamarot saying that and not the club (like has happened many times recently - Jol or Arnesen speaking out for King, Defoe, etc.).
He seems to have good and bad games. He wasn't great against Man Utd but I thought he was amazing against Everton. He does put in some good crosses and also gets on the end of crosses too. I think it will be easier to see how good he is when we get a regular right-sided player in.

He won't leave, Why would we sell him and why would he want to go to Southampton?

We would sell him because we have enough cover that Frank and Martin consider as good or even better (or the potential to be).
He's said he doesn't want to go but Jol's reaction leaves me uncertain.

true. But he's only just got here! I need, NEED, NEED , a new Taricco-style player, all effort and no skill. One fly in the ointment is that Noe is obviously better than Tano ever was, but I'm holding out for him! GO NOE! (as in 'STAY NOE!')

He can't move anyway. FIFA don't let you move twice within the same season, so if he does go, it will have to be in June.

I thought that it was twice within the same calendar year. And if it is twice in the same season, couldn't he officially go on loan for the remainder of the season?

Well I thought not, but you clearly can as Davenport has now played for 4 clubs this season.

Interesting.
Speaking of Davenport, he's the other reason that I don't think Saints will pick up Parmarot.

I actually thought that law didn't matter if it was a transfer between two teams in the same country. I'm sure I heard that somewhere but maybe I heard wrong.
Also, does his move to us technically count as being this season as it was over the summer?
Anyway, I'd be sad to see him go - Kelly didn't wow me today. He did an awesome tackle on Knight who was through on goal and bound to score but apart from that he didn't do anything great. Pamarot certainly adds a bit of strength to the defence.

Last time I saw Johnson play he was absolutely crap. Gave the ball away in really dodgy positions.

Noe is staying it seems, someone also talked to him at the training ground and Noe said that he didn't want to leave and didn't feel he had to as he was playing in the team and doing well. He also said that Frank wasn't forcing him to leave either, which is good to hear.
