well, if there is any team in the league that we could possibly bank on getting all 3 points, it was the last team that we couldnt score on. i hope injuries will subside, cuz otherwise, we're *********.
this team's about to slip into a relegation battle. souness will get fired, and so too probably the next 3 managers that follow him.
i've tried to stay optomistic, but that only sets me up for a harder fall.

I suppose you told him what a muppet he is, right? :)
We need nothing less than three points from this game. If we're going to get back in contention for a European spot, we need to beat relegation fodder quite handily. Teams coached by Harry Redknapp are never easy to beat, though. Either way, should be a good game. Here's hoping for three points and an awesome game of footy.

Honestly. He was crying down the phone. I'm thinking whether or not to go to this game or just sell my ticket.

If by "tough to beat" you mean "everyone's been having their way with him this year" then yes.
If we don't win I'm just going to light myself on fire.
What is the back line going to be? Bernard Bramble Boumsong Taylor?

You seem to be forgetting Redknapp was at Portsmouth during the first part of the season. They were not an easy team to beat. Under Redknapp, Portsmouth have only lost two games by more than one goal this season. Just to give you a comparison, we have lost five games by more than one goal this season. Teams always had to dig in and work hard to beat Portsmouth. They weren't lighting up the league or anything, but they were a difficult team to play against.
Southampton, on the other hand, many teams have had their way with them this season. But since Redknapp has come in there has been improvement, which shows his managerial strength because he hasn't had time to do a lot of wheeling and dealing and he still has a lot of the same crap players that Wigley and Sturrock had.

Sky Sports Preview (http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.asp?hlid=249581&CPID=8&CLID=4&lid=&title=Newcastle+v+Saints+preview&channel=Premiership)
Big Al should finally be fit and get to start! Paddy K should be back as well, but I would think he would start on the bench. Carr and Butt are both still out. I've seen different reports on Robert and N'Zogbia. Some reports say they are fit, others say they are still carrying knocks.
Squad: Given, Harper, Taylor, Hughes, Babayaro, Bernard, Boumsong, Bramble, O’Brien, Dyer, Jenas, Bowyer, Robert, N’Zogbia, Milner, Ambrose, Shearer, Bellamy, Kluivert, Ameobi.
Come on Toon! Nothing less than three points!

Soccernet Preview Page (all teams) (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/feature?id=280561&cc=5901). Newcastle United v Southampton We say: Away win Are you freakin' kidding me? Away win? Did So'ton even play in the FA Cup? They're so bad that their coach even says in the match preview (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/preview?id=153999&cc=5901) I don't think we're going to be able to out-play them.
Ain't no way we don't walk away with three points at home.
Any idea on the back line? Hughes, Boum, O'B and Baby?
Thx,
Jay!
