ok, now, I am planning on purchasing a new pair of cleats. The choice is either between the Nike Mercurial Vapor II FG (Varsity Maize/cinder) for $132 or the Umbro XAI III's FG for $110. Now, I have been playing in Vapors and I really got used to the snug-fit and lightweight it provides seing as I am a player that uses a lot of tricks and jukes (like C. Ronaldo). However, the XAI III is cheaper and packs a lot of features into one boot (I.E. rubberized k-leather for accuracy) and it originally was $220, big discount. So, which should I go with? The Vapor IIs which are a fairly new model, my fav. color, and are very lightweight, which could help my foot move faster. Or the XAI III's a lot of power packed into one boot but also weighing an astounding 11 oz.! Somebody help!

I have never worn either Vapors or Xai but I have tried both of them in a shop once. Xai 3 are much more comfortable, they are made of kangaroo leather, they also have both inside and outside swerving elements. I don't think 11 oz is too much, I personally suggest Umbros.

Go for the XAI > better price-value compared to the Vapors.

i suggest the vapors light boots are good for quick players........go to www.soccer.com and i think theres a good deal on the Cinder varsite.........great color choice too im going to get those soon
