(one way)(plus about $18 in taxes) Yup, it's true. Travel must be completed before May 25th or so, so April 2nd is OK with them. It's about 1/2 price what I paid in October.

Is there a plan yet for our season opener? I've got 2 $5 gift certificates for a restaurant on the boardwalk that are burning a hole in my pocket! I'm getting to the point where I can drink and enjoy beer again after an ugly evening of post-championship game revelry. Nancy and I have away jerseys we don't get to break out otherwise. There's no reason not to go, at this point!

The SEs are going to put a package together for this match.

This price, BTW, is not all that great a deal. A normal JetBlue fare to and from Long Beach, booked early enough, is in the range of $225-250 after taxes - this sounds like it's $226 after taxes, so that's square in their range. We usually get a better price just by booking a group deal (and paying for it upfront).

Fly and stay in Ontario, and give me a ride to the game ;-)

Any idea yet what departure/return dates you're looking at? Thanks.

Since I never made it down last year, maybe I need to look into going out for this one!

Hey it's the weather lady!
You're telling us you couldn't make it down the turnpike 4 hours but you can make a 6hour flight? :D

This sounds juicy gocaps! Keep us informed!

I'm so very sorry that I didn't make it down last year, but I really did have some major medical problems with a pinched nerve in my back/leg. I couldn't sit for more than 5 minutes, so 4 hours down the turnpike was out of the question. Now, I'm doing a LOT better (after some good drugs from the doc), and a flight wouldn't be a problem. I'm definitely checking into it as I have plenty of friends out in the area who I could stay with.

This is going to be a GREAT season!
